Flashback to January 2nd
Kakucho's birthday

"It's kakucho San's birthday, i should start the preparation!!!" Y/n said as she got out of the bed and ran to the bathroom to get ready
"The things are ready" Sakura said as she saw y/n entering the kitchen
"Arigato Sakura for buying me the ingredients" y/n said before she sat down for her breakfast
"Itadakimasu" y/n said before eating her breakfast

"Ok I have all the ingredients for the cake" y/n said as she looked at the ingredients
"Y/n do u need any help?" Sakura said
"Hai Sakura San, can u pls cut these vegetables for me, the rest i will take care of" y/n said while she was baking a cake for kakucho
"Of course" Sakura said before she went towards y/n

After y/n was done with preparing the cake and kakucho's favourite food for lunch, she then decided to go the market

"Sakura San, I'm going to the market to buy a bouquet" y/n said before leaving
"Take care, dear!" Sakura said

"Arigato for driving me here" y/n said to the driver before getting out of the car
"No problem miss" the driver replied
"Hello miss can I get that bouquet pls" y/n said to the lady at the bouquet shop
"Of course, here you go" the lady said as she handed y/n the bouquet
"Here, have a nice day miss" y/n said as she handed the lady the money

Meanwhile at Bonten

"Kakucho can u hand me those files" ran said
"Here" kakucho said as he handed ran the file he asked for
"Kakucho" Mikey said
"Yes? Wait a min I'm getting a call" kakucho said as he picked up the phone
"Hello, is everything ok? Come there right now? Ok I'll be there" kakucho ended the call
"I need to go there seems to be an emergency" kakucho said

"Hehe I think kakucho san fell for the sick part" y/n said as she kept the phone on the table
"Why did u have to lie to him" Sakura said as she chuckled
"He wouldn't come here if i told him that there was a party for him since he is busy with work" y/n said
"We should get ready with the food" Sakura said
"Hai!" Y/n said as she followed Sakura

Few minutes later

I hope y/n is not that sick kakucho thought as he entered the house
The house seems quite kakucho thought
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAKUCHO SAN" y/n said as she cane running towards kakucho
"Huh? Didn't u had a cold?" Kakucho said
"Oh yeah sorry for lying to u, i had to because I knew u wouldn't come if i told u about the little party" y/n said before she dragged kakucho to the dinning area

"U did all of this?" kakucho said with a surprised look, as he looked that the dinning area was decorated with balloons and the dinning table had a birthday cake in the middle with five to six dishes which were his favorite
"Hai! Sakura San helped me as well" y/n said
"Oh not at all, i barely helped. Y/n was the one who did the work and decorated on her own" Sakura said

"For u kakucho san" y/n said as she handed the bouquet to kakucho
Kakucho took the bouquet and saw a letter inside it so he opened it

Inside the letter

Happy Birthday kakucho san! I hope u like the food. Thank u for everything! I'm really grateful for everything u do and i couldn't thank u enough for it. I know we aren't technically family and i know we met few months ago but still u are like family to me! Thank u for being there for me kakucho san ^_^

The little letter made kakucho emotional but he still kept his staight face

"Arigato y/n for all of this" kakucho said while he gave y/n a little smile

After they cutted the cake and ate their lunch

"The food was very good and the cake as well" kakucho said
"Arigato" y/n said with a smile on her face
"Oh one more thing" y/n said before she went to get something
"Here" y/n said before she handed kakucho a box wrapped with golden paper

Kakucho opened the box
And saw a scarf inside it of dark blue colour
It had snowflakes embroidered on it and on one end it had his name embroidered with small snowflakes around his name

"I made this scarf, does it look ok?" Y/n asked
"It's perfect, i love it" kakucho said as he wrapped the scarf around his neck

"Bye bye kakucho san!!" Y/n said
"Bye, take care" kakucho said as he left for a meeting

It's been a while since someone gifted me something for my birthday kakucho thought while smiling to himself
Kakucho felt warm not because of the scarf but because of  y/n's  actions and the little party, made his heart warm
He felt this happy, warm feeling inside his heart
A feeling of having someone as ur family, of home

"Kakucho where did u get that scarf" koko asked
"Y/n gifted it to me today" kakucho replied while doing some paper work
"Huh? Why" koko said
"Cause it's my birthday" kakucho replied
"Oh happy birthday" koko said
"Hm" kakucho said
"Did y/n chan made that herself" ran said
"She did" kakucho said
"So u went to meet y/n?" Mikey said
"I did, she told me she was sick but she just said that so i would go there" kakucho said
"Ah I see so she planned a party for u" ran said
And kakucho nodded as a response
"I see" Mikey said
