A child sick that tries to sleep
Next to him his mother weeps

Dying dreams and horrid fates
Double delusion man creates
Façade upon façade still
Bloody kill to bloody kill

Another woman lost her son
A daughter murdered by a gun
A boy in shadows slowly drowns
A drunken man always frowns

A fellow went and hung himself
A lady crushed beneath a shelf
A scholar jumped off a cliff
Mankind's heart remaining stiff

Additional soldiers went to war
Memories of loved ones torn
Atheists are rising, too
To pulverize and destroy you

Shouts and screams all go unheard
And yet another soul does burn
Ships do sink into the deep
Serial killers pursue and creep

We lost another one today
Old woman with her bills to pay
Sadistic maniacs on the loose
Another teen hangs on a noose

Emotion rides and people cut
Everyone is in a rut
A grisly end is what you met
Stalkers cloud the Internet

Gory, bloodstained murder scene
Sins of adults left unclean
Patient waiting for a heart
Another needing theirs to start

A life is taken on the dock
People can't go out and walk
For fear that they will be gunned down
It's not just the ghetto towns

It's the universe in distress
One that mankind won't address
Sick of these ungainly scars
Someone wish upon a star

Stop the killings stop the hate
Stop the wearisome debate
Clean the world and teach it right
To stand up and prepare to fight

Yet it won't matter who we are
No one will ever go that far
Solve our problems and help our plight
Make everything be all right

No, nothing will happen of that sort
Our mission will be an abort
We don't erase pain we inflict
And that cavalier clock will always click
