The big news

Once arriving on flowerfruit mountain, The peacefully sleeping infant was layed upon the king's own bed and wrapped in a blanket to not be disturbed... As for the king however...
He was panicking outside as the monkeys gathered around, Watching their king pace back and forth as he chewed on the nails in his left paw

"What was I thinking?! I have no idea how to take care of a baby!
...Maybe I can drop it off to a family..?"
He was spooked when his subjects began to make a fuss at him suggesting such a thing, All the monkeys having angered expressions and huffing at their king
"O-okay, Okay!
Scratch that idea..."

He told them as he held up his paws in defense, Sitting down crisscross as he rubbed the bottom of his chin... thinking...
His ears perked up at a suggestion one of the monkeys made, He grinned

"You're right!
I can ask my friends to look after the baby!"
Once again he was met with an angry response and sighed
"Ugh, fine!
I'll ask how to take care of it, Happy?"
He asked his subjects and received a positive response this time
Though he was convinced it wouldn't be that hard...Oh boy

After he struggled to wrap the baby monkey in a blanket due to the mass amount of  locks it had upon it's head, He set off on his magic cloud to find his friends
Spotting them in a small village and remembering to land carefully on the ground, Which seemed to surprise his friends
Tang Sanzang, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing and even the white dragon horse all exchanged looks of confusion and curiosity towards Wukong's strange behavior

They all saw he was holding something in his arms as he carefully stepped down from his magic cloud, walking up to the group
"Hey guys-"
Wukong was then cut off by Zhu Bajie
"Don't 'hey guys' us!
What did you get in trouble for this time?!"
Zhu Bajie yelled with anger, demanding an explanation until the entire group heard an infant's cry that made them freeze, eyes widening

Wukong looks down at the baby monkey and tries to calm it down, stuttering words of reassurance and even making silly faces
"Ah- hey, It's okay!
Don't cry!"
The king spoke and he glared at Zhu Bajie
"Great, Ya woke it up and made it cry.
You happy, Zhu Bajie?!"

Wukong asked sarcastically as his friends stared in shock...
'Did he really just kidnap a baby..?'
They all thought as they stared at him
"Before you say it, No.
I didn't kidnap someone's kid..."

The king reassured them all with a huff, His master stepped closer and wanted to take a look at the infant
"So... How did you get it-"
The monk was suddenly paralyzed once he laid his eyes upon the baby, The other guys staring in concern
"Tang..?"

Sha Wujing asked as he looked over the monk's shoulder, Becoming paralysed along with him
Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Bai Long Ma stared at their two friends with concern
"Guys..? You okay..?"

Zhu Bajie asked with a hint of nervousness, A shadow formed over the Monk and Sha Wujing's faces that then turned into ones of adoration as they began cooing at the baby monkey in Wukong's arms
"Zhu Bajie, Bai Long... COME LOOK, IT'S THE CUTEST THING EVER!!"

Sha Wujing shouted over at the two as The Monk remained captivated and even taking the baby into his arms to present to Zhu and The white horse dragon
Both of them of which had fallen in love with the baby, The king just in the background trying to regain all their attention by shouting their names... repeatedly

Wukong even ended up becoming huffy and annoyed by his failed attempts, Swiping the baby from the monk's arms with a twitchy eye
"Ahem, The reason I'm here is to seek advice on how to take care of the baby.
Thanks so much for asking..."
The sarcasm behind the king's voice was real, The gang sighing and Tang looking back up to the king

"So... how did you get it..?"
The king froze at the question and rubbed the back of his neck, He honestly didn't prepare or even think about how to explain to his friends on how he got the baby
"Uh... Here's what I think happened with that-"

He then sat down in a circle with his friends and tried his best to explain the birth of the baby and up til now, The gang tearing up at the part where the baby nearly died at birth
"So sad..!"

Sha Wujing cried and Bai Long stared at his friend with a sweat drop forming on the side of his head
"Sha, The baby is still here... Remember..?"
Bai Long reassured his crying friend
"IT'S STILL SAD!"

Sha Wujing wailed as The Monk looked back at Sun Wukong
"Hm... Well, We can try asking the locals of villages if they can provide us advice on raising a child... Do they have books on it..?"

The monk wondered as Wukong couldn't help but sigh in defeat...
The king looked down at the infant that looked back up at him with a warm smile and giggles, Seeing the 8 ears wiggle made him chuckle and gave him the motivation to seek out the info he needed
Yet... at the back of his mind, He wondered if he would even be a decent parent to a being with the possibility of having a short life-span
Such a fragile thing in his arms made him grow anxious but... He wasn't about to stop now... For the kid's sake.
