Night fell upon the pilgrims once more as they were comforted by the warm light of a campfire
The monkey king and the piglet having reduced their silly arguments (at least tried to) down to a minimum, Talking much more softly than usual
It was rather quite difficult as using their normal tone of voice seemed to bother the cub, They can't even speak without the cub suddenly waking up and becoming too active to fall asleep again

They wrapped an end of Wukong's scarf around the cub's head, Covering it's ears in an attempt to reduce the noise it picks up
Once the cub had fallen back asleep, The others write what they want to say as Wukong simply talked via telepathy (dude didn't know how to write lmao)
They all were tuckerd out after a full day of dealing with the crying cub, it's sensitive hearing really became a bother but never so that they'd give up on them
The monk had help up the paper that held writing on it

Has everyone had time to think of potential names for the little one?

The monk asked and received a bunch of nods, He scribbled once again and had asked who would want to to first
Everyone raised a hoof, paw, claw and webbed hand
Wukong and Zhu Bajie butt heads before they were picked up and separated by Wujing
The monk directing their attention back to the paper

For the love of Buddhism, Please don't fight and wake up little one...

The two bow in apology and throughout the night they communicated like this back and forth, Just when almost everyone had explained their choice in name
They heard a cry coming from the tent
They all whip their heads before the monk gets up and walks over to the tent, Seeing the cub squirming around as it was in a tiny kaiju form
Everyone was taken by surprise and Wukong steps in to carry the cub
Just to avoid anyone else receiving possible injuries, Though the cub's ability to transform like this... scared him

"It appears that the young one has experienced a nightmare, Poor thing..."
The monk spoke in a sad tone as he stated his conclusion, putting his hands together and praying for the cub to have a proper rest next time
"Kinda need the book to figure out how to calm them down."
The great sage requested and the others began to search for the book that was given to them by the elder
The monk had found it within their luggage and opens the book, Scanning the pages

"To calm an infant or child who's experiencing night terrors, You must cradle them and speak to them in a gentle manner.
Rub circles on their back and let them know you're there, share the same sleeping space with them.
It will take them a bit or even a while to calm down from the nightmare they had, Refrain from waking them up for it will cause more distress and even confusion.
It's important to be patient with our children but we should be aware not to pamper them too much, We wouldn't want their independence to be shattered."

The monk read as Wukong started to follow the instructions, Cradling the cub in his arms while Sha Wujing sat next to the monkey king
Handling the positive affirmations in a gentle tone while Zhu Bajie fixed up the part of the tent where the cub had a mini fit, The monk read on in silence in case they all had to do anything else
Bai Long Ma coils up like a snake noodle and lays his head down to rest, They all wait for the cub to calm down which seemed to take an hour or so

The cub had reverted from it's mini Kaiju form as it remained asleep, A tired king carefully using his thumb to wipe some remaining tears off the infant's face
Everyone was relieved as the camp fire crackles, The monk requests for Wukong to retreat into the tent with the cub so it can sleep properly this time
Wukong wanted to protest because he didn't want to be left out on naming the cub...Though it did matter more that it rests easy
He agrees to head inside and very quietly bids everyone goodnight, Carefully laying down as the cub was placed on his chest stomach first

He made sure the cub had no chance at falling by keeping his paw on it's back, he couldn't help but internally gush at how adorable it was hugging it's own tail like a stuffed animal
He let out a big yawn that showed off his sharp teeth before eventually falling asleep
The others discussed via writing for another hour before putting out the fire and heading to bed themselves, the gang rested against Bai Long Ma as they share a blanket
That blanket being the long fur at the end of Bai's tail

By late morning, Wukong opens his eyes to see the cub was...
No where in sight?!
'Not again..! Master's gonna hurt me!'
He dreaded in his head before hearing laughter outside the tent, Raising a brow before poking his head out to see that the cub was with the rest of the gang
He let out a breath of relief that caught his brother's and master's attention
The monk smiles and gestures Wukong to come outside the tent

"Here, Sun Wukong.
We saved your share of breakfast before the little one ate it."
He told as the cub was still trying to get it, the young one was wrestling Zhu Bajie for it by tugging on his face
Zhu Bajie grumbled as his face was starting to get sore from this kid's rebellion, Wukong couldn't help but laugh a bit at the sight before getting out the tent and walking over to sit with the others
Picking up his share of breakfast and munching down

"I would also like to say that we chose a name for the young one!"
The monk told excitedly as Wukong spat out some of his food in shock, Whipping his head around to look at his master
"What?!"
He exclaimed in question as in the background the cub tried to eat the spat out bits of food, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing working together to keep it from doing so while Bai Long Ma stares in disgust

"I am aware that you seem a bit upset by this, But I'm sure in the end you will accept it."
He hoped before the two raise a brow to the fuss over at the rest of the group, Looking back at each other to continue discussing
"Well?
What did you all choose, Master?"
The great sage asks and with an excited smile
He utters the name

"Kito"

Wukong raised his brow in question once again
"Why is it so short?"
He asked and watched as The Monk gestures Bai Long Ma to come over, The dragon took the hint that some explanation was in order
"

I suggested that name after I thought about your story on how they came to be and how much they mean to us, Taking into consideration of what everyone wanted.
I hope you like the name, Brother monkey."
He told in short and Wukong thought over it, Peering over at his cub as he thought about the deeper meaning behind that name
As they grow, They will begin to refine who they are
That's what also makes them a precious gem in the making...

He couldn't help but grin and look up at his dragon brother
"It's a pretty good damn name, Though I'm pretty sure mine would've been awesome as well."
He told with a prideful smile and received a few nervous laughs, A sudden distant boom followed by a wave of heat had startled everyone
The cub's fur went on end as it clung to Zhu Bajie's face, Having turned back into a mini Kaiju before everyone noticed the sky had turned into a magenta and black hue

The group felt the amount of power emitting despite the far distance was between them and the light magenta lighting beaming in the sky, Their faces grew fearful as they stare at the light
They felt the wind suddenly pick up and turn to see swirl of it being formed behind them, the swirl dispersed as a figure nearly collapsed as they landed
The group stare in shock as the figure lifted their face to meet their widened eyes, In unison they exclaimed

"PRINCESS IRON FAN?!"
