Of course, as soon as I get to the fucking lab someone else is there.
Hels.
My ex-bestfriend, who'd become a villain shortly before I had. I remember training alongside him before he turned 16 and his view on life did a total 180.
And I know it did because we told each other everything.
Aether, he was the first one I told I was gay, for fucks sake.
He's noticed me.
"Xemon."
"Hels."
"I see you've figured out the right side to be on."
"I might've. Now, are you here to overshadow me, like everyone else?"
"Maybe, maybe not."
With that, he leapt off, managing to rush off.
Throughout that entire conversation, his voice had a hint of surprise.
I guess he never expected me to turn out this way as I had him.
Even, a month ago, I wouldn't've expected this.
But that's just the way the cookie crumbles, huh.
Dammit. Hels is getting inside the 'antique shop' right now, so I must hurry.
I cannot let that damn bastard overshadow me again.
