Caitlin put on her goggles and got to work. She had volunteered to help clean up. It wasn't really her job, but that phone call yesterday had thrown her, and she needed something to occupy her mind with. Who did Barry think he was? Calling her again after all this time, and throwing everything all over the place. She had worked hard to move on after everything, but Barry had thrown a wrench in everything. Who did Barry think he was, she thought? Trying to ruin my life all over again? Caitlin kept moving, trying to distract her mind, but the past kept calling her and pulling her back in

Caitlin and her friend were standing outside the palace

"I wonder what the people are like"

"They are royalty. Royalty are always such snobs"

"Caitlin, that's abit harsh"

"Harsh?  No, I'm being real. They fired my dad because he took more then the time he was allowed because he was sick. But they don't realise that being sick is not in anyone's control. Plus, they don't realise that the workers are people too, and  have families who rely on them"

"That wasn't very good of them"

"Honestly I'm telling you that they have no idea what it is like to be a normal person. I'd like to see them without their money or power, and live like a normal person"

"But they have a son, near our age. He might be more open to ideas then his parents"

"I very much doubt that. If he's anything like his annoying parents, he'll be as stuck up as them"

"Well there are rumours that his parents want to get him married. Maybe he'll meet a nice girl, and she'll ground him"

"I doubt that. His parents will probably want someone as rich and snobby as them. I doubt anything will change"

"Well then, you will have to marry him, and change things for the better"

"Me? I'm not rich or anything. Plus I doubt that I could fit into there snooty lifestyle"

"Well, we can dream, can't we?"

Caitlin put her arm around her friend and hugged her

"Maybe one day things will change"

Caitlin was standing there, watching the palace, when she felt someone beside her. She turned to her side, and saw a guy, that she hadn't seen before

"I take it you're not a fan of the royals"

"Something like that"

"I heard that they are a decent lot"

"You wouldn't say that if you knew what I knew. Plus, they are so stuck up. They think that because they have money and power, they can do what they want"

"I heard that they have done some good for the country"

Caitlin scoffed, "good? Is that what you call it? They are supposed to be helping the common people, but what do they do? They make everything harder. They are so deluded"

"Well, the son is going to take over soon. Maybe he'll improve everything"

"I doubt that. He's probably just as stuck up and snooty like the rest of them"

Caitlin shook her head. Why was she thinking of this? Of him? It wouldn't do anyone any good. She moved around cleaning, when she saw it. The painting. The one that they had both loved. She had fallen in love with it, as she felt it was magical and it was showing her a world where anything was possible. She had wanted to buy it, but it was really expensive and she didn't have that kind of money. Plus, she could never consider spending that much on a painting, no matter how beautiful it was, and no matter the message it was giving. She consoled herself by saying that at least it was here, and she could come see it for free

Caitlin ran to her friends. She had called her, saying that it was urgent, and could she come straight away. Caitlin burst in through the door, having dropped everything the second she got the call

"I'm here. What's the matter?"

"Nothing is the matter. Why would you assume that?"

"Because you called me and said that it was urgent, and that could I come straight away? I've dropped everything just to be here, so this better be good"

"My boyfriend is coming today to meet you.I just wanted to give you a heads up"

Caitlin pushed her friend

"This is what was so urgent? Your boyfriend coming to meet me? I dropped everything for this, because I thought it was something important"

Caitlins friend hugged her

"It might not be Important to you, but it is to me. Things are starting to get serious and I want you to meet him"

"Why?"

"Because I want to know if you like him"

"Why?"

Because I can't make such a big decision without my friends blessing"

"What decision?"

"I think that he might be about to propose"

"So that's why you wanted me?"

"Yes"

"So if I dislike him, you'll turn him down?"

"No. I'll still say yes, because I love him, and I'm the one who is going to spend my life with him. But it'd make me happy knowing that I had your blessing"

Caitlin laughed

"I'm only messing with you. How can I not like someone that you love? You always will and always have my blessing. Im so happy for you"

"That makes me feel so much better"

"So when am I meeting him?"

"He's coming by tomorrow to the shop. So be there nice and early"

"I'll be there with bells on"
