Caitlin woke up in hospital. Her body ached and she was having trouble breathing

"What happened?", she asked her friend who was sat opposite her

"There was a fire at my reception. Thankfully you are alright. You have inhaled some smoke, so it might hurt to breathe for a bit"

"Thank you for getting me out"

"Me? It wasn't me. I was leading you out yes, but then you disappeared from my line of view. You were trapped in that building. You should thank Barry"

"Barry? Why?"

"He ran into rescue you, despite knowing the dangers. He put his life on the line for you. If that isn't love, I don't know what is"

Caitlin just lay there, in agony

"Well, I'd better go. This wasn't the wedding day I had imagined. But then again, if you need me, I won't go"

"Go. Get out of here. Go and be with your husband"

Caitlin got up slowly, and took a few steps. It was pure agony, but she kept moving. She had to see how he was. She just wanted to thank him for saving her life. She approached his room, when she heard someone shout at her

"Don't you dare enter my sons room. He wouldn't be in this state if it wasn't for you"

Caitlin hesitated. She knew that voice anywhere. She turned around to go back to her room, when he grabbed her arm

"Don't you dare come near my son again. Hes only like this because of you. Stay away"

"I will, but what if he doesn't?"

"You have no idea what I can do"

"Oh, I'm pretty sure. I know a bully when I see them"

He squeezed her arm

"Ow. Let go. You are hurting me"

Just then, a doctor came running up and broke them up

"Don't touch my patients. I know your royalty and can do what you want, but this is a hospital and I'm in charge here. Now go and see your son, before I ban you from this place"

He helped Caitlin back to her bed

"Thank you. It's nice to see someone standing up to royalty"

"Well this is a hospital and he has to realise that"

It was night time and Caitlin woke up. She slowly got out of bed, and made her way down the corridor. She was hurting badly, but she kept going. She entered the room, after checking that the corridors were clear, and then entered. She saw him laying there, and climbed on top of him, and snuggled into him. She felt his arms go around her

"Hello. I was wondering when they would let you come and see me"

"They didn't. I snuck in myself"

"Naughty"

"Barry", she whispered

"What's wrong? Hey, talk to me"

"Barry, thank you for what you did, but this just proves why we can't be. Your family blame me for all of this"

"No. How do you know? Did someone say anything to you?"

"It doesn't matter. I just came to thank you for saving me"

"Caitlin, wait", Barry shouted as Caitlin left the room

Caitlin opened her eyes. Why was she remembering this? What good would it do? She was feeling much better, so decided to go to her office and catch up on the work that she had missed. She ran to her office and got stuck in, totally ignoring the pleas from her dad not to go as she had just recovered. She picked up the paper, and tried to read it. The words just swum in front of her eyes. She gave up, putting her head on the table. Her mind kept wandering as to what happened next, even though she knew it would do her no good

Caitlin had just closed the shop, and was on her way home, when she got a very bad feeling. Someone was following her

"Why don't you come out and face me, instead of following me Barry?"

Caitlin turned around as Barry approached her

"I wanted to apologise on behalf of my dad. He had no right to blame you. This was an accident, not anyone's fault"

"Barry, I don't need your apology or your dads. I've decided that I want nothing to do with him or you anymore"

Caitlin turned to go, when Barry held her hand

"Barry, there's nothing more to talk about"

Barry was just about to speak, when he noticed it

"Caitlin, what's this?"

"Nothing. I just bumped my arm somewhere"

"Don't lie to me. This looks like a handprint and your forming a bruise"

"It's my problem. I'll take care of it"

"Look, please be honest with me. It's killing me, knowing you are hurting and I can't do anything about it"

"You want to help? Don't make me laugh. You royals are all the same. If you really want to help, go and get my dad a promotion. He is employed as something else, yet he single handedly runs everything"

"I'll do my best"

Caitlin laughed, "don't make me laugh. You royals are all the same. You look down on everyone not as rich as you, or doesn't have the same status as you. I'm proud of me Barry. I might be middle class, but I'm independent. I earn my money myself. What about you? You just rely on daddy's money. And your dad? He's the same. He relies on his inherited wealth. Has he worked a day in his life? You lot wouldn't know how to earn money or get a job, even if it hit you in the face. We might not have much, but I'm proud of it. We earn our own money and live our lives independently. You are stuck doing what daddy wants. You are like a puppet, dancing to his tunes. How could I ever love someone like that?"

Duff, duff, duff. Go Caitlin. She was really fierce. As always, feedback appreciated
