OOGUM, OOGUM, BOOGUM, boogum
Boogum now, baby
You're castin' your spell on...

The Oogum Boogum Song played through the stereo. Klaus was driving the car as he sipped the remainder of his fast food drink. Five was on the passenger seat, letting himself bask under the sunlight. Y/N was on the right backseat with her bare feet resting on the other side as she had the room for it, watching the trees coming to a blur every time Klaus passes by them.

In the middle of the ride, it has come to Number Five's senses that this is how good it actually feels to not think of anything important. "This actually isn't so terrible." He admitted aloud.

"See? Told you." Klaus reassured the boy.

Although Y/N agreed that being on the road was giving her nostalgia, she still knew that this isn't purposefully for sightseeing road attractions or for doing anything touristy.“You gotta tell him eventually, Klaus.” She reminded Klaus through telepathy.

“I'll get to that, I'll get to that. Let me just... give me a second to enjoy his hearty mood.” Klaus replied to her, focusing on the road instead of the angst he was feeling as he prepared for the expected ballistic reaction from the boy.

Amidst their conscience-like talk, Five was opening up to them about how he was always on duty. "Come to think of it, my whole life I've been under the gun." He started off. Y/N leaned over and folded her arms on the top of the seat to listen. "Missions for Dad, working for the Commission, trying to survive the apocalypse." He elaborated, "I was always looking around every corner, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

"It's nice to just breathe."

The girl smiled kindly at Five. She placed her hand on his shoulder and gave him a gentle squeeze. "I know I've said this before, but you deserve this." She repeated. Because he really does. She'd witnessed him trying to do whatever it takes to put the peace in the world. And doing so deprived him of rest.

"Yeah, retirement is suiting you." Klaus followed.

Number Five place his hand on top of Y/N's hand that was holding his shoulder. For the first time in his life, he can do the things he wanted to do after missing out this whole time. He was able to open up to new experiences in his life. "Oh! Uh..." Which reminds him: this was supposed to be a fun journey. "All right!"

Too bad he thought wrong.

He was already pulling out a map of Pennsylvania with markings of the places that he finds that it would be great to visit. "So, I've circle all the roadside attractions along the way." He announced.

Oh, boy. Y/N thought as her eyes diverted to Klaus. “Dude, now's the time before his hopes get higher.” She telepathically reminded Klaus.

"Oh, I'm not sure we're gonna have time for all of that..."

Even when Klaus was trying to stop him from planning, Five kept on going with it. "We have the Brownsville Big Nickel. Oh, Y/N, Ricky's Bakery have award-winning pies. Maybe we can go eat there."
