IT WAS IN the middle of the day when the Umbrella Academy got the job done. They were back in their said father's car and they still have their domino masks on because they know citizens that admired them would be waiting for them.

Y/N still hasn't gotten over the fact that Five was gone. Everyday, she would try to contact him telepathically. And everyday, she gets the same results: Nothing.

Soon, they arrived in front of their house. They can hear various cheers of their fans.

When the girl looked at them, they were in the barricades with different kinds of posters and merchandise. It overwhelmed her.

They got themselves out of the car. In the process, kids their age started pointing at them in excitement.

"It's Spaceboy! My favourite!"

"Oh my gosh! Diego and Ben!"

"Look! It's the Séance!"

"Holy crap. ALLISON!"

"Here comes the Unseen!" One shouted as Y/N was the first one in line.

All of them had straight faces as they walked in a line just like what their father ordered to them. They weren't even allowed to look at them and wave. They just walk in their home without a word.

Allison was simply minding her own business as she paced up. Until a boy grabbed her by the arm. "Excuse me. I'm your biggest fan." He exclaimed.

Number Three didn't say a word. She was caught off guard and she didn't know what to do. Until Luther chimed in and grabbed his sleeve, "Hey, hey, hey. You're not supposed to be in here." He stated.

"Get back behind the barricade!" Sir Reginald demanded to the average boy.

Y/N was about to enter when the commotion started. But she decided to stay and watch. She turned invisible and made an illusion of herself getting in the Academy so her adopted father wouldn't notice she hasn't gotten back in.

"It's just..." The boy sputtered, "I was born on the same day as the Academy kids." He explained, "I think I'm like them. I must be. I haven't quite figured out what my power is... yet. But maybe with your help, we can find out."

Sir Reginald was unamused on what was happening. He bent down to the boy's eye level and said these words to him bluntly, "You have no power. You never will have power."

Y/N felt bad for the boy. Yes, what her father said was true. But he didn't have to be harsh about it. "Now, go home." Reginald commanded.

The boy wanted to live with them so bad. He didn't want to live with his biological father any longer. So he didn't stop pleading, "No, please. Just... I... You have to let me stay. I came all this way. Please don't make me go back."

Y/N thought Reginald would have a heart to let him stay even for at least a day. She knew what he was going through, she can read his mind. Not to mention, old bruises were a tad visible on his cheek. But she thought wrong.

"A little word of advice, my boy." Her father began as he placed his hand on the boy's shoulder, "Not everyone in this world can be powerful. Chasing something unattainable is a recipe for a lifetime of disappointment and resentment."

All of a sudden he gripped his sleeve tighter and turned him around to drag him away in such a harsh way, "So get off my property." The crowd laughed at the boy as if he was an embarrassment to the world.

Y/N got herself out just in time before her said father closed the gates, still invisible. She turned to look back at her family who just stood there as the people chortle and laugh at the poor boy. She shook her head disapprovingly when they got back inside.
