Y/N FELT FEVERISH as she let Number Five blink them in his timeline train station. It was a confounding move, and she had no other way of getting out of it. "What are you doing?" She asked the boy, in hopes that she heard him wrong the first time.

"You said we don't have the time to talk about this, so I made us time." Number Five replied with a shrug. He made his way to the turnstiles under the premises that she was following him. "Now, we have all the time in the world," he said. "While we try to change the past to stop the apocalypse, you can tell me everything I wanna know."

"You..." Dickhead, she cursed internally. Y/N's feelings swirled at Five's actions, she had to hold back her tongue. She wasn't finding it in herself to like it at all, although she couldn't seem to find herself hating it.

She ran out of excuses to get away from this subject, except to accept his plead for her helping hand; to pretend that she only heard the saving-the-world part of his proposition. "So, what's the plan?" She asked with a huff.

Five watched her pass through the turnstiles. For a moment, his eyes lit up the same time his heart began to thump when she went through. He couldn't help but feel as though he had to make it seem like he's thought everything out.

"We just ride one stop eastbound where the original apocalypse timeline is; avoid getting shot at by the apocalypse version of myself and I warp us back to 2006 to stop Ben from ever going on the Moldovan mission." He replied.

Y/N hummed in response as they made their way to the eastbound train that had just arrived. "You mean stop Luther and Reginald." She pointed.

"What?"

"If you recall, Luther used to suffer from a crippling case of daddy issues." Y/N explained, "Ben didn't wanna go on the mission in the first place and Luther was a primary witness, so he tattled."

"And what about Reginald?" Number Five asked the girl.

"He's Reginald." She remarked, assuming he was well-aware of the old man's character.. "We can disguise myself as the Umbrella Y/N and ask Allison to rumor his stubborn ass." Y/N suggested while she inspected the map. The track lines were greatly interwoven, it almost made Y/N dizzy.

Though she hated to admit that it was too complicated even for her to solve. So she shoved it in her coat pocket. "I'm bringing this with us, by the way. In case we get lost." That is, if I'm not already lost, she thought.

"Sounds like a plan." Number Five said. Stunned by the fact that she managed put her wall up so quickly that he could no longer remember the questions he supposedly prepared to ask.

She kept her nose stuck on the map, tracing along the line of stops repeatedly -- whoever created this deserves a flick in the forehead, she thought.

But even when they were keen on finishing the job, reluctance remain to sink into the pit of their stomachs. They haven't fully understood how these trains work and which timeline does it specifically stops. It was a wonder how they were going along with it when they were well-aware of the risks their endeavors had in store for them.

Nonetheless, they never told each other about their hunches as they strongly hoped that this way wouldn't require any sort of emotional and mental strength. Moreover, Y/N made it known that she wasn't in the mood to talk just yet.

She wasn't quite ready to answer whatever weave of questions she was hearing from Number Five's minds. Quite frankly, she wasn't ready to face the way he would react; how would he take it if he found out they were engaged?

And how would he take it if she said she was relieved that they never got married?

****

It was only a matter of time before the train stopped at the next station. The PA system babbled while the automated doors slid open. It was no news that they didn't understand what the system was saying at all.
