As the ice began to melt, Atlas opened his eyes.
The once warm brown was replaced by a deep crimson.

There was a buzz in the air with the upcoming weeding of Edward and Bella, the two were currently going through plans with Alice, Esme and Carlisle. Meanwhile, the rest of the family amused themselves; Rosalie and Emmett had been going on small holidays around America, Sasha had been helping her wife and learning to further control her blood lust, but Jasper and Atlas had been doing something slightly different to the pans they had before the battle.
Jasper walked beside Bree as the small girl spoke about her day with a smile and a skip, the blonde man held the girls hand tightly as she came down from the buzz of the hunt he had taken her on. Jasper led Bree through the house, the two saying small hellos to the rest of their family, they went up two flights of stairs to the newest part of the house, before they got to the door Jasper pulled out a strip of fabric, "right, Atlas wants you to put this on before you go in, so he can give you a grand reveal", he dangles the strip in front of her face.
Bree huffs, but turns so Jasper can tie the cloth around her head to cover her eyes, "why is he so dramatic?", Jasper lets a small laugh lose.
"I think it's his age"
The door to Brees room opens, revealing Atlas, "I can hear you", Bree giggles, not able to see the man, "both of you", his words are accompanied by a hand landing on her shoulder and pulling her into the room, "now, on three, remove the blindfold and marvel at my greatness. One... two... three", Bree tears the blindfold off, and her eyes widen when she sees her new room, "d-do you not like it?", Atlas stares at the girl who stands silent looking around the room.

The ancient vampire stumbles back when Bree throws herself into his arms, "thank you, thank you, thank you", the words fly from her mouth at the speed of light, as she begins to buzz with excitement, "I love it".
From behind them, Jasper smiles, "I guess this calls for a group hug", he wraps his along arms around his husband and the girl he can quickly see becoming a daughter to him.

The past week, Bree had spent most of her time connected to either Jasper or Atlas, the three had formed a special bond with each other that the rest of the family could easily see.
Jasper stood watching his husband and Bree as they played around in the garden, "he's happy", the blonde turns to see Carlisle, "I've never thanked you, Jasper", the Texan man looks to the doctor confused, "I have known Atlas for many, many years, but I have never seen him as happy as when he is with you...", Carlisle is overcome with a melancholic look, "I truly believe that if he hadn't of found you, then I would of lost my friend", he squeezes Jaspers shoulder, "so thank you, Jasper... truly"
The two of them look out at the garden when they hear a sequel, and see Bree dancing around a grounded Atlas, who laughs on the floor, looking up at the sky, Carlisle pats Jaspers shoulder once more before returning inside the home. Jasper takes the steps down and lays down beside his husband, looking up at the sky as it fills with pinks and oranges, Bree smiles before laying between them, her hands grasping each of theirs. And the three watch as the sky loses its colour and unveils the thousands of stars above them, Atlas even opening his mouth to tell the two stories of the galaxy.
