Chapter 17 - Third High's Meeting / A Glimpse Of His Strength

(A/N) Small Author's note here: The following POV will be in Eichirou's perspective. And I actually don't know what kind of personality he has so I just made up my own and that'll be that he's the Genki type, like Iura from Horimiya. So please bear with me if It doesn't suit him.

Eichirou's POV

We were suddenly summoned by Kichijouji to what I presumed to be about the surprise that First High pulled off earlier. I mean, who wouldn't be caught off guard? They monopolised the top 3 spots in the Newcomer's event: Speed Shooting. I went to pickup Tsubasa so that we could go together. I knocked on her room and the one who opened the door was Tsubasa .

"You ready to go?" I asked her.

"In a bit, yeah. Give me 5 more minutes." She replied back.

"Oh, sure." As I said this, she closed the door and I backed up and leaned against the wall. And just like what she said earlier, it took her about 5 minutes to get ready.

"Let's go." Tsubasa told me.

"By the way, what did Kiyo want with you the day before yesterday?" I inquired Tsubasa.

"Oh that. Nothing really, he just wanted my opinion in regards to the 'accident' that happened to First High the other day." She answered my question.

"Souka, but I still have another question though. You emphasised 'accident' a little weird, care to explain that?" I asked her yet another question.

"Well, Kiyotaka-kun and his friends from First High believe that the accident was intentional. And when he explained his theory, I'm inclined to believe the same." Tsubasa explained.

"Kiyo's theories are always correct so I guess it really was sabotage. Still, to think that some scum would deliberately interfere in a match just so that they or their desired player could win." I replied repulsed at their actions.

"If it helps you feel better, Kiyotaka-kun is on the case so it won't be long until the culprit(s) is/are dealt with." She tried to reassure me with me giving a wryly smile as a response.

We walked side-by-side and conversed for a while whilst heading towards Third High's conference room. On an unrelated note, it seems that her roommate, Isshiki Airi, was already inside the designated meeting place. Damn, talk about being punctual, I guess it's to be expected from one of the 18 Assistant Houses huh. Snapping out of my thoughts, we arrived and took a seat in the middle part of the rectangular table. It didn't take long and our host for this meeting arrived as well.

"For starters, I'd like to thank you all for arriving in this meeting. And without further ado, I'll get straight to the main topic. I'd like each and every one of you to be extremely wary of oke of the engineers from First High." Ichijou announced aloud in a firm tone indicating he was serious.
