Ayanokouji's POV
Me, Leo, Mizuki, Mikihiko, and last but definitely the least, Erika were currently on the sidelines waiting for Honoka's semifinals match to begin. The siblings plus Shizuku weren't present as they still had to participate in their respective events which is Ice Pillars Break. Not long after, they appeared, but a shocking thing happened which was all of the players were wearing sunglasses. The spectators seemed baffled, my friends included from the sudden outfit addition. Since it wouldn't be ideal to wear goggles as it'll obscure the athlete's eyesight with a simple splash of water.
"Heh, they're definitely going to regret that." Erika commented beside me. Yes, as unfortunate as it is, she was directly sitting next to me.
"What do you mean by that Erika-chan?" Mizuki asked curiously.
"Yeah, what Mizuki said." Leo followed after.
"Well, what I mean is, they already fell for Tatsuya's trap." She explained. Hey, what do you know, she can surprisingly converse without being annoying for once, I guess the world is ending soon.
"Yeah, I can't imagine Tatsuya not thinking up a countermeasure for such a scenario." Mikihiko added.
"Ne~ Kiyotaka-kun, since you're a part of the players this NSC, do you perhaps have any idea as to what Tatsuya and Honoka's strategy is?" Erika directed the question to me.
"Sadly, even though Tatsuya is the one assigned to handle my CAD, other than training, he didn't discuss anything with me. Though, if I were him, I'd definitely use this situation to my advantage." I answered.
"Oh! Care to enlighten us on that plan of yours?" Leo enthusiastically asked.
"Sure, but instead of me explaining it, I'll give you guys hints so that you'll lead to the same conclusion. Seeing as the round will start a little bit later, it's a good pastime, right?" I offered.
"Why not?" Erika voiced her agreement, soon after, the 3 remaining agreed as well.
"Alright, first off, answer this: What's Honoka's specialty?" I questioned them.
"If my memory is correct, it has something to do with light." Mizuki responded.
"Correct, next: What are the other athletes wearing right now?" I questioned the 4 again.
"Eh, isn't the obvious answer sunglasses?" Leo unsuringly answered.
"I know, I'm getting there. Next: What does the 2 have in common?" I inquired.
"Uhhh, the sunglasses are efficient in filtering out light..?" Mikihiko replied in the same unsure tone as Leo.
"Sekai, that's all the hints I'll be giving, it's up to the four of you to figure it out." I said.
(A/N) Sekai - I think it has two definitions actually. One means 'world while the other means' correct. In case you're wondering, I meant 'correct'.
