music played faintly in the
background, as you opened up your
eyes groggily. everyone else was
asleep just how you were, except for
daij. he was humming along to the
song and tapping his fingers aganist
the steering wheel.
"you okay?" he spoke up, glancing over at you the stoplight putting a red glow over your face. in that moment it was like time stopped, like your friends
weren't in the backseat passed out,
like you hadn't drank too much and
blacked out and told daij you hated
him, like he didn't tell you that he
was in love with you.
in that moment, you saw the way he
looked at you. even after you lashed
out on him for being the
"worst bestfriend ever", he was still madly in love with you. you fixed your seat up and glanced back at him, even if you all had stayed at the stop light for too long who cares, it was 4am anyways. you kissed his lips, something in you was satisfied immensely.
you pulled away feeling a heavy
feeling on your chest. tears spewing
rapidly out of your eyes. you were
just as in love with daij as he was
with you, but now how could you tell
him that? "you okay?" he asked
again clearing his throat, his body
language was difficult to read you
didn't know if he enjoyed it or not.
you grabbed his resting hand that
was sitting on the armrest, kissing it . "i love you, i really do" you leaned your head aganist the window sighing
"in love with you im sure."
daij chuckled turning up the music
a bit louder.
"are you sure you're okay?"
"i'm fantastic as long as i'm with
you"
