(Lucas POV)

"Eddie Munson. He's a part of that freak devil cult, Hellfire" I heard Jason say from across the room. Turning around I saw him pointing to Eddie in our Hellfire club picture. "The cops, they say Chrissy went to him to buy drugs" he continued as the others crowded around him listening intently
"Drugs? No"
"That's what I said. Chrissy would never touch that shit. They wouldn't even show her parents her face. I don't know what this freak did to Chrissy, but he did something sick" my eyebrows furrowed with confusion, me and Eddie we were friends but not as close like him and Dustin are. I never would have thought that he would have been capable for something like this

"Probably sacrificed her, drained her blood for the devil. Satirists do that shit"
"That's what I'm saying. It's this cult"Jason finished saying
"Hellfire isn't a cult" I piped in. Everyone turned their heads in my direction with looks of confusion in their eyes. "It's...it's just a D&D club...D-D&D? Dungeons and Dragons? It's like a... it's like a game. It's...it's fantasy" I stuttered over my words as their eyes continued to bore onto me.

"And how exactly is it you know all of that, Sinclair?" Andy piped up walking right in front of me, staring me down.
"Uh...we'll, it's my sister. Yeah, she's like...she's like a total nerd. You know? Nerds? Like, she plays a lot sometimes"
"I'm sure your sister isn't killing people right?" Jason said cutting me off and walking right next to Andy. "But I've read if the wrong person plays this game, it can warp their mind. They confuse fantasy and reality, and innocent people die. Been happening all over the country. It's an epidemic" Jason ranted

"I've read about that shit. It's real"
"And I think Eddie. He's the wrong type of person right?" his eyes grew wide and instead of speaking to just me he was now telling all of us what he is thinking. He thought Chrissy was just apart of his...his sick game. And chances are he's still in the game. Meaning"
"He's gonna kill again" Andy said finishing Jason sentence.
"But not if we can help it. Would Chrissy want us to just stand by while the cops go around pursuing some bullshit leads, spreading rumors saying she's some druggy?" Jason questioned the team riling them up

"No!" Everyone else yelled
"No, she'd want us to go out there to do something about it, wouldn't she?" He said his tone getting louder
"Yeah!"
"Then let's go hunt some freak!" He finished his voice level at a full ten now and his anger also at that level
"Yeah!"
"For Chrissy!"
"Yeah!"

The rest of the team started yelling and cheering getting riled up for their hint on Eddie and to top off their celebration Jason lit the Hellfire clubs photo on fire and everyone screamed louder.
I watched Jason with a numb face. I didn't know who to believe. Eddie yes, he had a screw loose but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a killer.
At that moment I saw something in Jason's eyes that I can't explain. While everyone continued to cheer I stood their blankly, watching.

As the hours went by that evening I watched as they began to come up with how they are going to get Eddie and where should they look first. I mainly tried to stay out of their way due to the fact That i didn't know if I should even try and help them. In the end, I fell asleep on the mattress that laid in the corner of the room while the others still were planning on their hunt for 'the Freak'

That next morning I woke up the sound sound of clanging and talking outside of Bennys restaurant. Slowly getting up, I made my way outside to hear the others talking about if I was strong enough to come with them or if I was a pussy. When they eventually saw me their eyes widened in surprise that I was their.
