Chapter 11

(Max POV- 1 day ago from previous chapter)

"So your saying that this thing that killed Fred and Chrissy, is from the upsidedown?" Nancy questioned. After meeting up with Eddie we decided to go to my house in order for me to get something mags, but that's when we found out another death happened. Along the way of that we meet up with Nancy who we were now filling in on what we have discovered from Vecna.

"If the shoe fits" Steve stated simply.
"Our working theory is that he attacks with a spell of a curse. Now weather or not he's doing the bidding of the Mind Flayer or just loves killing teens we don't know" Dustin explained. Nancy's eyes grew wide and I could tell she was as equally confused as she was scared.
"All we know is that this is something different. Something new" I spoke up my eyebrows furrowing

"It doesn't make sense" Nancy said still confused
"It's only a theory"
"No. I mean Fred and Chrissy don't make sense. I mean why them?" She said explaining her thoughts.
"Maybe they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. They were both at the game"
"And near the trailer park" I said cutting off what Dustin was saying. How does that connect though. I
thought to myself
"We're in the trailer park. Should we maybe not be here?" Steve said looking around as a silence fell between all of us causing fear to rise in our group

    "There is something about this place. Fred started acting weird the second we got here" Nancy explained to us.
    "Weird as in?"
    "As in scared. On edge. Upset"
    "Max said Chrissy was upset too" Dustin said to us
    "Yeah but not here. She was crying in the bathroom at school" I said telling them another detail about what happened with my small interaction with Chrissy
    "Serial killers stalk their prey before they strike, right? So maybe Fred and Chrissy saw this Ventra"
    "Vecna" Dustin said cutting off Robin and correcting her

    "But if I saw some freaky wizard monster I would mention it to someone" Steve said causing a lightbulb to go off in my head. The day that I saw Chrissy she was walking out of Ms. Kelley's right when I was about to walk in. So that means...
    "Maybe they did.  I saw Chrissy leaving Ms. Kelly's office. If you saw a monster, you wouldn't go to the police. They'd never believe you, but you might go to your shrink" I said to the group once again explaining further what I saw of Chrissy that day. Now the puzzle pieces of this case started connected.

    Moments later we all got up from the picnic table we were gathered at and started heading towards Steve's car. Opening his car door I stopped when I heard the jungle of car keys fly through the air and land in Robins hands.
    "You guys take the car and check out this shrink okay?" Steve said as his feet started walking towards Nancy. Looking over at Robin I could see her face mold into the look of disbelief
    "I don't think you want me driving your car" she said with her voice shaking
    "Why?"
    "I don't have a licence"
    "Why don't you have a license?" Steve questioned
    "I'm poor"

    "I can drive" I spoke up my face beaming in delight and hope that Steve would let me drive his car
    "No! Never again. Please.  Anybody but you! No!" Steve said his voice volume raising. Dustin gave him a look and he turned me down for driving. Buzz kill.
    "Come on" Dustin whined
    "No"

    "Alright this is stupid" Robin said grabbing a Walki from Dustins backpack and heading over to Nancy. "Us ladies will stick together. Unless you think we need you to protect us" she sassed at Steve. Walking away with Nancy to her car
    "What? You just gonna stand there and gawk?" Dustin smirked
    "Shut up. And just. Get in the car" Steve said annoyed as we all opened the car doors and hopped in

     "Always the babysitter" Steve said softly started up his car engine. "Always the god damn babysitter!"
