SUMMARY:

Theodora hated her name. anytime someone heard it they would laugh and ask if that was really her name. it was also the last thing she heard her mother say before they were t-boned by a semi. the accident had killed her mother and caused teddie to go deaf. they had said the impact to her head had caused the nerves in her ears to tear and could not be fixed. every night teddie would hear her mother scream her name. the sound playing on repeat. her father had done his best by learning asl with his daughter and made sure to somehow make a smile spear on her face. when her father gets a job offer in mystic falls as a mechanic, teddie just wanted to live out the next two years of her high school as normal as possible but that is put to shame when she is pulled into the world of the supernatural.

Beau gilbert didn't know how to grieve. when his grandparents died, he had cried and then when he watched his parents die before his eyes, it was like his emotions froze. he didn't cry at their funeral or even the months after. he just went on day after day trying to grieve but he wasn't like his sister who cried every night or his little brother who turned to drugs. he just went on, he missed his parents more than anything but it was like he couldn't accept that they were really gone. on the first day of junior year, beau meets a girl that makes his smile feel a little more real. he just wanted to finish high school as normal as possible but when you carry the gilbert name, that's impossible.

NOTES:

—as you can tell theodora is deaf. she can not afford to buy hearing aids

—theodora will be close to damon. who ends up giving hearing aids to her as a gift. you can decide when.

—theodora goes by teddie

—teddie has a hearing dog named rocky. his name is from the movies rocky which is teddies favorite movies

—beau and teddie get together after season 3 or 4.

—i also feel like she would be close to caroline as i would like to think she knows sign language since she strives to impress everyone. teddie could help caroline realize she doesn't have to be perfect and prove herself.

—i would like for her to fall for one of the originals. i'm thinking elijah because one, they would be so cute together. two, teddie would definitely help elijah relax and realize that he can do things for himself. three, getting to see beau's jealousy over them.
