What's happening to me

Chapter 38

Stiles'sPOV:

As I whispered those words Derek fully transformed, and I could tell this wasn't Derek anymore, but this, this was his wolf all alone with no control from Derek whatsoever, and that scared me. I'm assuming that's the reason Derek was quote on quote gone was because of the panic attack, I look at the wolf and he looks at me, we hold eye contact for a while before he starts to release a low threatening growl, I look to the babies who were still in there little baby seats to make sure they were ok as they had surprisingly been very quiet, I turn to see them just staring at the wolf Infront of them, I look back to said wolf and see him staring at my babies, something flipped and my vampire face flashed and I bared my fangs at the wolf, which probably wasn't the smartest thing to do but I couldn't help it the motherly instinct took over and I jumped infront of them, the wolf... no Derek looked at me with a threatening expression on his face his green eyes fading to the deep red, he takes his eyes off of me and look to the twins his eyes fading back to green. I slowly realise what's going on and reluctantly step away from the twins trusting my gut, trusting Derek that I was making the right decision, he slowly stalks towards them and sniffs the air making them both smile which was amazing despite the circumstances as it was there first proper smile, I smiled at the sight knowing I was right to trust my instinct and just stood in awe watching the scene in front of me unfold shortly after Derek turned back into well Derek, he laid on the floor completely naked, I ran to grab him clothes and he gratefully took them and went to get dressed, I picked the babies up cuddling them close to me when Derek walked in a guilty look on his face

"Did I hurt you?"

"Did I hurt them?" He asks timidly from across the room as if he was scared to come near us, I huff and signal him to come over, reluctantly he makes his way over and I pass him the twins he looks up at me a sadden expression on his face and I smile at him, he looks at me confused and I go to stand next to him

"You didn't hurt us" I say smiling at him, he lets out the biggest sigh of relief before putting the twins on there mats and coming over to give me the biggest hug I just stand there embracing it before I remembered the big milestone he missed

"Hey Der" he just nodded his head

"Go to the babies and shift your face" he looks at me like I'm absolutely psycho and starts shaking his head

"Stiles what the hell is wrong with you why do you want to see our babies terrified and crying?" I roll my eyes at him and just tell him to trust me, he looks extremely hesitant but seems to trust me, he slowly walks over to the oblivious babies and leans over them, he looks back at me and i give him a reassuring look praying that they have the same reaction as before as I know that the semi shifted look is a lot different to the whole look but I have faith, he bends down and slowly shifts his face he looks aware before looking towards them noticing the smiles playing at there lips I look round to see Derek smiling the biggest smile I've ever seen he shifts his face back and runs up to me giving me the biggest hug

"Stiles did you see that! they smiled they actually smiled they weren't scared of me can you believe it!" he bounces around like a child and I smile knowing that he really needed to see that, I let out a sigh of relief knowing they didn't cry and go up to Derek and wrap my arms around him, he returns the gesture and kisses the top of my head, I sigh in content and just embrace this moment knowing it doesn't normally last long and was preparing myself for whatever was going to wrong, but to my surprise it didn't it actually didn't we sat on the sofa playing with the babies before giving them there bottles and putting them down for a nap me and Derek cleaned the house whilst we had the chance which didn't take as long as I thought because all things considering it wasn't actually that dirty, we then took the opportunity to just enjoy each others company and watch some tv.
