Chapter 23

Stiles'sPOV:

" Hey Lydia it's me... I need your help"

"What's wrong?"

"Derek asked me on a date and I need your help choosing what to wear"

"Oh my it's finally happening right get ready eat plenty because we are not going to have time to stop, well unless I get hungry and say so, but the main priority is to shop, shop, shop because you have to look amazing for this date right, now what shops should I take you too, screw it all of them, we could sta--"

"LYDIA!"

silence came from the other end of the phone and I sigh rolling my eyes

"Right yeah sorry, just get ready and I'll be over in an hour" and before I could say anything she hung up the phone. I groan internally regretting the choice I've made but laugh it off none the less knowing I get to spend some quality time with my best friend. I was watching tv when a thought occurred to me

What the hell am I supposed to be shopping for

I don't know what kind of date were going on therefore how am I supposed to know what to wear. I decided to shoot Derek a quick text asking him what type of clothing I should wear just to be on the safe side.

Hey Der you don't have to tell me what we're doing but can you at least tell me what to wear?

Just wear something casual and comfortable like jeans and a nice t-shirt

Awww he sent kisses back, I smiled at my phone and went to our room to get dressed. Our room. It just slipped out but it felt so natural to say, I still had a while till Lydia was supposed to get here so I decided to just go watch tv to pass the time

I was starting to drift off when there was a forceful knock on the door, I jump at the sudden sound before composing myself and answering the door

"Are u ready?" Lydia says before I even have the chance to say hello

"Hello to you too" I gesture for her to come inside and she smiles at me

"I'm sorry I'm just excited we haven't really had the chance to spend a lot of time together recently and this is a good chance to before ya know everything happens." she says a sad smile on her face. I bring her in for a hug that was long over due, we stood there for a while just embracing one and other before we finally decided to let go and start our shopping journey with bright smiles on our faces.

We arrived at the mall and I was already regretting this knowing even tho I only needed some jeans and a nice shirt Lydia would more then likely drag me into every single one of these shops. I look over at her knowing she has a mental plan and I sigh knowing even if I said something she wouldn't listen anyway

"Right so where are you going for your date and what are you doing?"

"I don't know and I don't know" she gives me a weird look before sighing

"He didn't tell you anything, well this just makes this trip harder"

"No no I did message him and ask what I should wear and he said just to wear something casual like jeans and a nice shirt" I say trying to shorten this already long trip she looks at me and nods her head

"Right lets begin we don't have a minuet to waste " and with a long over dramatic sigh we were off.

I sigh in content as I finally get home and sit down on the sofa dropping the multiple bags that were filled with clothes on the floor, Lydia had dropped me home before going back to hers for her date with Aiden, after sitting down for a couple of minuets I decided to get up and put all my new things away before Derek got home which also gave me time to get my outfit ready to make me look some what good for tonight.

I jumped in the shower making sure to clean myself thoroughly knowing that thanks to Derek's ability's his sense of smell is abnormally good, come to think of it due to me becoming a vampire all my senses seem to have been heightened which I guess is a good thing because now I can smell how Derek does and will be able to tell if I smell bad or not because it would be really embarrassing if I turned up and he spent the whole night being to nice to say anything as to be sure not to hurt my feelings.

It was about 7:30pm when I got a text from Derek

I'm downstairs

I sent a quick text back telling him I was coming when I gave myself a quick look over, I decided I looked good enough and nervously made my way down to his car where he was leaning against it looking fine as hell if I do say so, he smiles up at me and waits for me to reach him before he pulls me in to a short kiss

"Hey sexy you ready to go" I blush at the comment and just nod my head, he opens the door for me and I thank him before sliding in to the passenger side fiddling with my hands, why was I so nervous this is just Derek we are literally having a child together and I'm here being nervous over a little date.

"Hey I can smell your nerves from a mile away what's up?" he asks climbing into the car and starting it up he looks over and takes my hands into his

"I don't know why I'm nervous I just am" I say answering truthfully I honestly had no idea why I was so nervous

"It's ok I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous to but it will be ok I promise"

"Yeah I know" I say smilling at him

"Let's get this date started"

And with that we were off to the mysterious location that Derek had chosen for our date.
