Roxanne's POV
A world in crisis! The peaceful planet of Mandalore is being strangled by the grip of corruption. With shortages of every kind, citizens must turn to the black market in order to survive. Desperate to free her people, Duchess Satine has asked her friend Padme Amidala to speak with the Jedi Council in hopes that they will send assistance to her struggling world. Ahsoka and I were chosen to go. Me undercover as myself and her as a teacher at the academy.
I'm dressed as Princess Roxanne again as Anakin flew the shuttle. Ahsoka in the copilot seat and Rex beside me. "The Jedi Council has given you both a mission, Ahsoka, Roxanne. It's your duty to see it through" Anakin tells us.
"Don't you think we're just a little overqualified for this?" Ahsoka asks him.
"According to Senator Amidala, Mandalore is a deeply corrupt world. If the cycle is to be broken, the future leaders at the Royal Academy of Government must learn the evils of corruption. Yoda feels that only a young Padawan like you two, can get through to them" Anakin explains.
"Besides, these are my people Ahsoka. It's me duty to ensure the future leaders under my rule are free of corruption" I state.
"You plan on becoming duchess one day?" she asks me shocked.
"Once the war is over and I've become a Jedi Master. Yes" I state.
"Remember, focus on the mission you two. And remember Ahsoka, here she is Princess Roxanne. Not your friend Padawan Roxanne" Anakin states.
"Yes, master" we say. We land and are greeted by my mother, the prime minister. And my cousin.
"Mother, cousin" I say happily. I kiss mum's cheeks.
"It brings me great joy to see you again my daughter. Though Iwish it was under better circumstances" she tells me.
"As do I mother" I say. I greet the prime minister, then my cousin. As Anakin introduced Ahsoka to my mum and the prime minister.
"Duchess, Prime Minister" Ahsoka says respectfully.
"I am grateful that the Jedi Council could spare the two of you to help instruct our leaders and peacekeepers of tomorrow. As well as you both returning my daughter safely. Please thank Master Yoda for me" mum tells Anakin.
"I'm afraid that due to our limited resources, I must return to battle immediately" Anakin tells her.
"So you will not be staying, Master Skywalker?" the prime minister asks him.
"No, but I assure you, Padawan Tano is a highly capable Jedi and has the full confidence of the Council" Anakin assures him.
"Padawan Tano, allow me to introduce you my cousin Cadet Korkie. Along with his friends cadets Amis and Lagos" I say as we step forward. "We are some of the cadets you'll be teaching" I state.
"Nice, to meet you all" Ahsoka tells Korkie and his friends. Soniee was also supposed to be here. But she had a family get together to attend.
"That's a fine weapon. May I see it?" Korkie asks Ahsoka. Pointing to her light saber.
"I'm afraid not" the prime minister tells him. "Because of Master Kenobi's recent visit and the trouble that followed, no off worlders may carry weapon on Mandalore" he explains. I suppress a smirk, good thing I'm not an off worlder.
"Master Obi-Wan caused trouble? That's a first" Ahsoka states.
"Just give me the light saber" Anakin tells her. Holding out his hand. She places her light saber into it.
