August 2015
I wake up in my room, covered up with my monster high blanket. I look at my digital clock. Its 8:27 am.
I walk out of my room down to the kitchen where my mom is making breakfast.
"What do you want for breakfast dear?" She asked. "Hmm just some French toast!" I reply.
After I finish my French toast I hear a knock at the door. I open it to see my long time best friend and neighbor Noah Schnapp standing there with a big smile on his face.
"Whats up Noah?" I ask. I let him in.
"Y/N I HAVE HUGE NEWS!" Noah yells as he's running up the stairs to my room.
"WHAT IS IT SCHNAPP! SPILL IT!" I respond.
Once we both get to my room, Noah gestures for me to sit down on my bed. He lays his head on my lap and tells me some good news.
"I got the role of Will Byers on that show I was telling you about!" Noah says. "I thought you auditioned for someone named Mike?" I say confused.
"Yeah I wanted to be Mike but I didn't get the role. But I got Will instead!"
"OH MY GOSH SCHNAPP THATS AMAZING NEWS!" I say. I'm so excited that my best friend of 2 years is is going to be on a Netflix show!
"Yeah, but bad news. Uhmm.. filming starts on September 25th and the table read starts in 2 weeks.." Noah says.
Thats in less than a month..
"Thats okay Schnapp!" I say "just promise me one thing.. when you're awesomely famous.. don't forget I exist.." I finish.
"I could never y/n/n. We have got around 2 weeks together before I go away, and don't worry. Filming won't take but around 5 months."
"Schnapp, that means that you're going to be gone on my birthday.. I'm turning 11 on-" I got interrupted. "January 17th, I know.. but I convinced the Duffers-"
"The who?" I asked confused.
"The creators of the show, if you would let me finish y/n/n. I already asked them about that and they agreed since I'm not gonna have as many scenes, that I can come back home early for your birthday."
"Thats awesome news Schnapp!" I say.
I remember that like it was yesterday. That was around 7 years ago. Me and Noah are even closer than ever.
A/n I know its probably hella cringy but I don't care lmao. This story is gonna be a slow burn book with a relatively strong beginning.
