hindi naman sunday pero why not. this is my attempt at reviving my naghihingalong lenrisa muse. lord above, iniiwan na niya ulit ako. 🥲 also, lookaway, clingy seniors ahead. :)
If Saturdays are for Lola VP and Wowa Sen, Sundays are for Mahal and Pangga. It's their day together and the Hontibredo bunch knows that. Kahit nga mga staff nila alam na pag Linggo, walang puwedeng umistorbo unless emergency or urgent talaga.
It was an unspoken thing when they first got together. At first, it was because it was convenient for them until it became a routine and something that had stuck even now. Every Sunday is Leni and Risa's day.
This tradition of them started one Sunday morning when Leni decided to call Risa to invite her for dinner. Their relationship is still in its early stages. Nagkaaminan na but they weren't official... yet.
They made plans earlier that week but it seems like the universe was against them. At first it was Leni who asked to reschedule due to an unexpected engagement. Then it was Risa who suddenly had to go out of town for a conference.
When Risa got back from her conference, they were both swamped with work that they weren't able to meet. They both had to catch up with their workload due to their unexpected engagements. So when Sunday came, Leni decided that she had enough. Parang hindi na ata niya kayang hindi pa makita si Risa. So despite her apprehension, she decided to call her that morning after mass. Alam niya kasing nag chu-church ito.
After 3 rings, Risa answered, "Hello? Lens? You called?"
Leni couldn't help but smile at the way Risa had said her name. Usually, she hates being called other than her given name or her nickname, "Leni", but with Risa, she finds that she actually doesn't mind. In fact, she likes it, loves it even.
"Hi Ris, busy ka ba?" She asked, twirling the pen she was holding. For some reason, kinakabahan siya.
"No naman.. why?"
"Wala lang naman. I was just wondering if you want to go out tonight? Dinner lang. That is if you don't have plans or if you're up to it."
She couldn't help but bite her lip as she waited for her response, "Yea, sure. Dinner sounds nice, Lens."
Leni released a breath she didn't know she was holding, "Okay... I'll text you the details, and uh, I'll pick you up."
"Wag na. Maaabala ka pa. I can drive myself, Lens."
"Hindi ka naman abala, Ris. Never kang magiging abala para sakin. I hope you know that. Besides, maybe this is just me making up an excuse to see you sooner? and longer since I'll have to drive you home." She was met by silence then.
"Ris? You still there?"
"Hello Lens.. yea.. I'm still here."
"Okay.. akala ko nawala ka na. So, sunduin kita later?"
"Sure. Uh, just text me the time? para makapag-ready ako."
"Of course, but you don't need that much time naman. Maganda ka naman palagi." Once again, silence from the other line.
"Ris? Okay ka lang ba? Ris?"
"Uh, hello po, Tita Leni?" Came Sinta's voice.
"Sinta? Nasaan ang Mama mo?"
"Nandito po. Sorry po, Tita. It's just that.. Mama got so kilig hindi makasagot. Namumula po siya and nagtatakip ng mukha. But she heard you loud and clear. Actually, all of us did. Naka-connect po kasi sa bluetooth ng car yung phone ni Mama."
