From a place of hopelessness
And what seemed like another
Down stream of love
I found myself drawn to this
Particular being
A being so compassionate
So profound
Hard to believe that someone would
wound such a heart
For this particular being
Has brought hope
And salvation to my soul
Security that I hadn't felt
In what feels like a lifetime.
