Another dream of love
Down the drain, wasted
Made to seem like a once in a lifetime
But all it was
Was a dream.
I have awoken from the dream
Clarity clearer to see and comprehend
Trapped I was
In a constant state of needing to be
Who she had envisioned me to be
But all of that? Crashed, burnt.
A dream of love
Turned into a nightmare of despair
Overwhelming her into dissonance and distance
She could not stay
To be the second builder of our foundation
Left alone, I am
But this is an all too familiar feeling…
Dreams…
Visions that are meant to be shattered
By the uneasy feeling
Of coming back to reality
And realising you are alone once more.
As the heart breaks accumulate
So does the cold nature of my aura
Growing in stature
Feeling no more pain
Just a numbing sensation of emptiness, loneliness
“Depression and obsession don’t mix well”
I am left to fend alone
Once more, I am here
In the dark void of being alone
In the infinitely long tunnel of lonerism
And I slowly realise
That perhaps love is all but a dream
That is meant to be enjoyed
Woken up from
And let go.
That is my dream of love.
