Broken Friendship (Chapter 8)

~later that night~ 

Blue was woken up by the sound of the door to Wish's room opening, he sleepily looked towards the door, his 'eyes' were blurry but he was still able to make out what looked to be a black tail with a white tip. He sat up and rubbed his eye sockets before looking around the room, Ink and Wish we're still in the room and asleep, but, the fox wasn't... 

Blue stood up and quietly made his way out of the room, he was extra careful when it came to going down the stairs. He slowly and carefully made his way towards the kitchen that now had its lights on, he poked his head around the corner and saw a tall black skeleton with fox ears and six tails. His eye sockets widened, it was the person in the window. 

He hid himself behind the wall, holding his hand over his mouth, so he wasn't just seeing things, who the hell was he!? Why was he here? Did he want something? What did he want? 

Were the questions going through his head. He slowly looked back into the kitchen, but, he was now gone... Where did he go!? Maybe he left through the back door, but he would have heard that. 

As Blue tried to figure out who this person was, what they wanted, and most importantly, where they went, he failed to notice someone behind him. They quickly placed a cloth over his mouth and wrapped there other arm over his making it so he couldn't do much to stop them. 

Blue, of course, started to freak out and tried to scream for help, unfortunately he was unsuccessful. His eyes started to grow heavy, realizing a bit too late that the cloth over his mouth had chloroform on it, his movements started to slow, his head now resting on the person behind him shoulder, not being able to hold it up himself anymore, he slowly drifted into unconsciousness

Blue shot up from where he was sleeping and quickly looked around the room, he was breathing heavily, his eye lights eventually meet Wish's, who was kneeled down next to him, a look of concern on his face "Blue, are you all right?" he asked

Blue shook his head as he held his hand to his chest 

"hey, hey, it's okay, it's okay, breathe" Wish said as he hugged him

Blue quickly hugged him back, Wish rubbed Blue's back in an attempt to calm him down "it's okay, you're safe, you're okay, it was just a nightmare" Wish said quietly

"I-it felt s-so real..." Blue said, his voice cracking

"that's how nightmares are sometimes, but it can't hurt you anymore, okay? I promise you it won't" 

Blue cried into his chest for a few minutes before returning back to his spot, he rubbed his eye sockets and cheeks in an attempt to get rid of the tears that were streaming down his face

"can you tell me what happened?" Wish asked, his hand still on his back 

Blue sniffled and nodded "I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that the door was opened, I went downstairs to the kitchen and saw the person in the window again" 

Wish nodded "what happened next?" 

"I don't know, I just felt something get put over my mouth and everything started fading to black" 

Wish nodded once again

The two of them sat in silence for a minute or so before Blue looked back at him "how did you even know I was having a nightmare?" he asked 

"you were moving a lot in your sleep and you were breathing heavily, what I believe are the usual signs of someone having a nightmare" 

Blue nodded "I'm sorry if I woke you up" he said as he looked away from him
