A Friend In Need (Chapter 9)

~The next day~

Wish sat alone- well, he wasn't alone, Fang was there but he wasn't very good company. Anyways, Ink was once again gone and Blue has yet to arrive at the house and he was starting to get a bit worried about him, he couldn't even call him to ask if he was all right because he didn't have a phone and Ink didn't think to leave him one.

Maybe he should try to check up on him? But, without his soul his magic isn't powerful enough to make a portal, he isn't Ink, he can't just use a magical paintbrush to make a portal. He sighed, if he wanted to check on his friend he would have to ask for help, and the only person he could ask at the moment was the person who put him in this situation, to a certain extent. He looked at the fox, who was once again sleeping on the end of his bed, he sighed once again before he leaned over and shook said fox awake 

The fox woke up and glared at him "what." he said, clearly annoyed

"can you take me to Underswap?" Wish asked

Fang rolled his eyes "do it yourself" he said before he placed his head back on his paws and closing his eyes 

"I can't" 

He looked back at him "and why can't you." 

"because I don't have my soul, and because of that I don't have enough magic to open a portal" 

"that's stupid" he mumbled "have you even tried?"

Wish nodded "yes, during one of the times me and Blue we're training we found out that I can't open portals" 

Fang grumbled something under his breath "ugh... Fine" he said before he stood up and stretched, he hopped off the bed and turned into his 'normal form', he opened a portal and looked at Wish, who was getting off the bed

"let's get this over with" he said as he grabbed Wish by his arm and dragged him into the portal

The two of them arrived in Snowdin Forest. Fang turned into his fox form again, Wish picked him up and started to wander around the forest in search for the blue skeleton, unfortunately they were unsuccessful. The two of them eventually came across 'Sans's station' but in this case; Papyrus's station. Wish walked over to the tall sleeping skeleton and lightly knocked on the wood of the counter to wake him up

Papyrus yawned and looked at him "hey there little buddy, what's up?" he said, his left hand now on his cheekbone

"hello, can you please help me?" Wish said "I'm looking for Underswap Sans, Blue, is he here somewhere?" 

Papyrus yawned again and stretched "depends, who's asking?" he said before he grabbed a cigarette and his lighter

"I'm Wish" 

"oh, so you're the guy he's been training and telling me so much about? It's nice to meet you kid, I'm Papyrus, but you can call me Carrot" he said before he lit his cigarette "mind me asking why you're looking to talk to my brother?" 

"he and I we're supposed to train together today, but he didn't show up on time so I got a little worried and thought something happened here" 

Carrot sighed "well my friend, you would be correct, he locked him self in his room yesterday and hasn't come out since, one of his 'Au friends' are already at the house and are trying to get him to come out... Say, you wouldn't have anything to do with that, would you?" 

Wish shook his head, he had forgotten how overprotective he was of Blue 

"alright then, you better not be lying to me" he said before standing up and walking around the stall "let's get going, I know a shortcut" he said before going in the opposite direction
