"I'll see you later, Ni!" Louis called from his car as he pulled out of my driveway. I waved at him and then turned to make my way inside the house.

"Niall, I'm in here, hun." I heard my mother call from the kitchen.

Just then my stomach decided to growl, letting me know that I was hungry. I walked into the kitchen, dropping my bag on the table so I could start on my homework right after I got something to eat. I watched as my mother, Maura, turned around with a plate with a sandwich on it.

"Thanks mom," I said, taking the plate and making my way back to the table.

"How was your day?" She asked as she turned on the water in the sink to wash dishes. She got soap out from under the sink and put some on a sponge, picking up a plate to wash. "Fine, I'm just ready to be done already." I said, munching on my sandwich.

"Oh, you say that now, but once you're my age you'll miss your school days." She said, washing off some eating utensils.

"Yeah yeah, I know." I replied.

I soon finished off my food and stood up, handing her the plate and saying thank you once again before grabbing my backpack and making my way up the stairs to my room.

I shut the door softly and stepped over towards my bed. I had sat down and pulled a book out of my backpack so I could start reading, when my cell phone that was on the bedside table vibrated, signalling that I had a message.

It was probably Louis, since he was the only one out of the twenty contacts on my phone that texted me. I opened it up to reveal a message from an unknown number.

Look outside your window .xx

I stared at the phone for a moment before hopping off of my bed and pulling the curtains over my window apart, looking around outside on the ground. I didn't see anything until I looked towards the right, seeing a head of curly hair and meeting a pair of green eyes. I could feel my mouth form into the shape of an 'o' and I quickly pulled the curtains shut.

I could hear my phone as it began to ring at the spot I had left it on my bed and I sauntered over towards it. It was the same number that had sent me the text, and I was now pretty sure I knew who the caller was. I chewed on the inside of my cheek, debating on whether or not to answer it when it stopped ringing.

Breathing a sigh of relief, I made a move to sit back down on the bed when the phone started ringing again. Groaning in frustration, I stepped over and grabbed it off of the bed, pressing down on the answer key.

"Hello?" I snapped.

"Geez, what crawled up your arse and died?" I heard Louis ask on the other line, and my cheeks burned with embarrassment. I hadn't bothered to check the caller I.D., thinking it was the unknown number.

"Sorry... I'm just tired," I mumbled.

"It's fine, so what's up?" Louis forgave me easily and I smiled, thankful to have a friend like him.

"Nothing really," I replied, "I was just about to start on my chemis-" I trailed off as I turned around to see my window wide open and the curtains waving slightly in the small breeze.

"I'm gonna have to call you back, Lou." I said, hanging up before he had a chance to reply.

I walked over to the window that had been open and peeked outside, and when I saw nothing I quickly closed it, making sure to lock it before I closed the curtains back. I was a little freaked out because there was no way that the window could have opened by itself, and certainly no one could have somehow managed to climb up to the window to open it. I watched the window for a moment, just to be sure it wouldn't magically open before I turned around and almost jumped out of my skin.

Letting out a small yelp of surprise, I saw the intruder sitting on the edge of my bed with a grin on his face, his dimples indenting his cheeks.

Harry.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked, taking a step back. "Why are you in my room, and h-how do you even know where I live?"

He chuckled quietly and shook his head, "I was just dropping by for a... friendly visit."

"How did you find out where I live?" I asked again, my voice wavering slightly.

"I have my ways," He said simply, turning to look at my chemistry book which laid open on my bed.

"If my mom sees you in here, she'll be asking a lot of questions! I don't even know why you're here, but you need to go!" I said, taking a step towards him.

As if she heard me downstairs, I could hear my mother shuffling down the hall towards my room,

"Niall, have you got any dirty laundry? I need a few more clothes before I can have a full load for the washing machine."

My eyes widened as I began to panic, and I quickly rushed forward and grabbed Harry's arm, and before he could protest I shoved him into my closet.

Before I shut the door I whisper-shouted, "Don't make a sound! After she's gone you have to leave."

I was getting frustrated because he thought he could just waltz on into my room when just a few days earlier he didn't even know I existed. I turned around just in time to see my mother open my door, peeking inside.

"Niall, love, did you get your clothes that you wanted me to wash?" She asked.

I forced my eyes to stay trained on her instead of checking to see if Harry was going to do something crazy like bursting out of the closet. I looked around my room and saw a couple of shirts and pairs of pants lying on the floor.

"Y-yeah, let me get them for you." I stuttered, trying not to be obvious that I was hiding something,

"Alright," I heard her say as I scooped up the clothes, walking back to the door to give them to her.

"Thanks, mom." I said, giving her a smile. She nodded, taking the clothes and turning around.

"I'll be in the laundry room if you need me." She said.

She walked down the hallway and when she turned the corner to go down the stairs I shut my door and went back to my closet, yanking the door open to reveal Harry.

"Okay. You. Out. Now." I said, grabbing his arm again.

"If you just leave now without coming back, I'll just forget this ever happened. I don't know what you're doing at my house or how you even found out how to get here, but you need to go." I surprised myself with my confidence, and I would have been proud of myself if I hadn't been yanked backwards by a guy nearly three inches taller than me.

"Alright, I'll leave. But don't expect this to be the last time we speak, little leprechaun." He says.

He flashes a grin and takes his arm out of my grasp, heading out the door of my room. I quickly jog over to my window, peeling back the curtains. I don't see anything for a moment but after a few seconds I see Harry emerge from my house, walking down my driveway.

As if he could feel my eyes on him, he turned around to look directly at me and he winked.

I snapped the curtains shut, not wanting him to return. I backed away from the window until the backs of my legs were pressed against the side of my bed. Plopping down on the covers, I sighed in frustration and put my head in my hands. What was Harry doing here? Why did he wink at me? Why did he sneak into my room?

So many thoughts were spinning around in my head that I didn't even hear my phone ringing for a few seconds. When it finally broke through my thoughts, I picked it up and looked at the caller I.D. Clicking the answer key, I pressed it up to my ear.

"Hey Louis, sorry about that." I said.

"Yeah, you should be sorry! You hung up on me! Why?" He asked.

I took a deep breath before I answered his question. "Well Lou, I might have a slight problem..."
