"Everyone, get back!" Rick's shouts are just barley audible from the echoing groans.

They start pooling in through the walls, stepping through the rubble.

There's just so many.

Everything inside of me was screaming to run, but my feet were frozen in place. I could only watch, completely horrified.

'We aren't safe anymore. Enid was right.'

They just keep coming.

"Get into your houses, go!" Rick continues shouting. He turns towards the hoard, shooting walkers down.

"Sophia, come on!" My head shoots up and I see Carl staring at me with a worried look.

His expression is a mix between terrified, and brave. Like he was trying to convince himself that everything will be fine.

"We have to go! Now!" He reaches his hand out to me. I look back at the herd that's getting closer, and then back at him.

I grab his hand and we start sprinting down the main street of Alexandria.

'The house is too far, we'll never make it!'

Carl seems to be thinking the same thing, because he's looking around at the surrounding houses as we pass.

"Carl! Sophia! Are you okay?" Michonne hollers out, now running besides us. Gabriel and Ron follow after her.

"Yeah, we're fine! Are you?" Carl confirms, looking over to his best friend. She nods, pausing to take out a nearby walker with her sword.

"Rick!" She spots him supporting Deanna who looks to be limping. Upon further examination, I can see blood on her shirt and on her pants.

'Shit.'

We run over and join them, taking turns putting down any walker that gets too close.

"Good, you're safe. Come on." Rick sighs in a second of relief.

I have my knife ready, stabbing one right besides Carl's neck. He nods in thanks, and we continue running.

"There!" Deanna points out to a small group of three walkers that are getting closer.

Carl, Gabriel, and I all run towards them, stabbing them in the heads, and pulling our blades out quickly, watching the cold bodies hit to ground.
