Chapter 44

Aphmau's eyes widen as she saw Aaron's wounded waist heal itself

She looks at him in shock and confusion, this never happened before, not that she remembered

Though the wound did heal, a scar was replaced in the end

"How?..." She mumbled, yet Aaron heard her "it's new to me too...it happened earlier when he shot an attack and left scars both in my arms" He explains

"I see...does it still hurt though?..." Aaron shook his head
"no, not anymore... It still has a faint ache, but doesn't hurt much"

Aphmau sighed in relief just then, Lucinda spoke "looks like the collar of his doesn't have anything to open it...any kind of magic doesn't work...I don't seem to understand"

"It doesn't have anything you could type on?" He asks Lucinda nodded "yep, there isn't anything you could type or scan on," She said, and sat down  "he's still here if you want to know, his soul, on the other hand, looks greyer than the wallpapers of this room"

Aaron frowned, they needed to be fast and move forward as soon as possible, before Michael could do something...

Kim pov:

Trying to calm and control the situation was hard, it was already giving me headaches

Katelyn, Xinyi, and I were left here to deal with the civilians, they were making so much noise, we weren't sure what has happened outside but sure enough

My voice was too soft and small, I also can't scream here...

Katelyn and Xinyi were trying their best to convince the others that everything will be alright...

It seems that it didn't work

So I decided to go where the balcony is at, there I finally had air to breathe

The atmosphere inside was tense, very tense I don't know how to convince them

"Kim?..." I hear  ghost say, "yes?" I answered, to which she replied
"are you alright?" She asks

I groaned, "I'm fine, not injured, but I'm all stressed, I don't know how to convince all of them"

"They won't hear me" I sighed

"She's back..." I hear her again, now confused and curious

"Who's back?" I asked, I don't see her but I can hear her

"Irene" Once she said the goddess name, I felt my skin shiver, in a blink of an eye, here we are in a white Castle... Or is it a church?

"Kim!" I heard her and looks to my right, it was ghost "ghost...? How are we here again?"
I questioned, a voice than can be heard

It was lady Irene...

"Lady Irene?... May I ask why we're here again?..." I asked, lady Irene looks at me, I cannot tell what was in her mind

But she looks troubled "I needed to tell you something, only the two of you are the only ones I can communicate with..."

"I can't go through other people, the reason how I can communicate with you...is because she belonged through my time before..." She looks at the ghost

Ghost, on the other hand, was shocked "lady Irene...do...do you know who I was before?...or have we met before?" She asks

I was lost for words, "I do...your name... I do not know, it has been a long time, but I do know you used to be one of the librarians that work in a library, I used to go there to get more information through the things I like and do"
