Colton-"Why did we have to leave so early". (groans)
JJ-(laughs) "Let's head to the house".
Once they get to JJs he helps them with their bags the dogs come running once they see Colton
Colton-"Oh my gosh you two are so big now". (pets them)
JJ-"Your bags are in your rooms".
Connie-"Thanks hun".
John-"What's the plan for dinner, I thought maybe I could grill some steaks".
JJ-"Figured you would say that, so I went to the store and got some the other day".
Colton-"Is it okay if I use the shower?"
JJ-"No need to ask go ahead".
Once Colton goes to take a shower JJ and his parents talk
Connie-"Scouts came to practice the other day, we couldn't tell if he was excited or not".
John-"He said only Eric talked to him".
JJ-"Yeah Eric called me the other day, Derek and TJ texted me also".
Connie-"You gonna talk to him?"
JJ-"If he wants to talk mom, I'm not going to force him". (sighs)
Colton comes down after his shower and heads outside to where JJ and them were
John-"You sure you don't need a haircut?"
Colton-"It is getting long isn't it?" (ruffles his hair)
Connie-(laughs) "We'll set up an appointment when we get back".
JJ-"I could do it, I have before".
Colton-"Hey makes me spend less money".
John-"Make it look good, if not no girl is going to talk to him".
Colton-"Dad!"
They all laugh, JJ gets the clippers and he cuts Coltons hair before dinner, when it was done Colton went to look at it
JJ-"Well?"
Colton-"I don't know how you do it, this is awesome bro".

After a bit John grilled the steaks while Connie made potatoes and some other stuff to go along with dinner
JJ-"How much you eating now?"
Colton-"Not as much as you, TJ, and Derek did". (laughs)
Connie-"It's true I only have to get one thing of milk sometimes two though just in case".
John-"Steaks are done!"
JJ-"We'll eat outside".
They head outside and eat dinner, once they were done Colton and JJ did the dishes while Connie and John played with the dogs, JJ went to workout for a little bit and Colton did the same thing, once they were done they took showers, after they were done with their showers Colton went outside to play with the dogs, Connie and John were watching tv when JJ came into the living room
Connie-"He's outside hun".
JJ-"Alright, I'm gonna bring the dogs in then I'll try to talk to him".
JJ brings the dogs in the house and grabs a drink before he heads back out, Colton is on his computer, but shuts it once JJ sits down
JJ-"Talk to me, I've been wanting to for awhile since it's happend".
Colton-(sighs) "Why did you say those things, you never said them to Derek or TJ, you weren't even drunk".
JJ-"I know what I said was wrong, I was way out of line I don't know what came over me bud honestly".
Colton-"You know after you said that stuff, I almost didn't sign up this year".
JJ-"Colt it's just you're the baby"
Colton-"And you hate the fact I'm growing up I get it J, I really do, but sometimes you just have to let go ya know".
JJ-"Yeah I know bud". (sighs)
Colton-"You out of all people I didn't think you would say that stuff".
JJ-"I know bud, and I'm sorry".
Colton-"J don't get me wrong I love TJ and Derek, but I am more closer to you, you know why, since day one I have looked up to you, even though I hate the fact that you're miles away you're living your dream, TJ and Derek are living their dreams, hell even on the same team, when you said that stuff I started to doubt myself, you are my best friend and I never would have thought you would say those things". (tears up)
JJ-"Bud I am so sorry, I hate the fact that you're growing up, you're graduating soon, you are going to do great things, I'm glad you didn't quit, mom and dad told me there were scouts at practice the other day, Eric even called me I can't believe he's still scouting, I know you can make it to where TJ, Derek, and I are at, as your big brother it's my job to protect and support you and I failed at the supporting part". (tears up)
Colton-"I always wanted to be like you when I was younger, I hope I make you proud".
JJ-"You already are". (pulls him into a hug)
They hug for awhile Connie and John watch from inside and smile they message TJ and Derek, they promised not to tell them they know until they come to Pittsburgh, once JJ and Colton were done then came back inside and sat down in the living room, Connie and John went to bed, they were watching some tv
Colton-"Yes we won, 36-12".
JJ-"Awesome dude, who played your spot tonight?"
Colton-"More than likely Drake, or even Brody he mostly defense though, Finn probably got put in for QB".
JJ-"What you going for when you get to college?"
Colton-"Probably QB".
JJ-"I see you doing better at that, from what I've seen from the highlights when you post them".
Colton-"Yeah don't get me wrong I love wide receiver, but I like QB more".
JJ-"Don't blame ya bud, I played tight end now look where I'm at". (laughs)
Colton-"Good thing ya switched, three time defensive player of the year, TJ needs to catch up". (laughs)
JJ-"He got screwed the last two years".
Colton-"Oh I know he did, I looked up the stats".
They talk and watch some more tv, JJ didn't realize what time is was till he got a text from Kealia, he look over at Colton who was passed out on the couch, he texted Kealia goodnight then he turned off the tv, he then picked up Colton and took him to his bedroom, he covered up Colton then went to bed himself in his room for the night
