Throughout the centuries, many writers and storyboard creators have stereotypically painted villains as unhinged, heartless monsters. Their sole purpose in the story is to hurt others just for their gain. But what if I told you the truth about this lie that society has laid out before you? The truth is all villains are bad guys but, not all bad guys are villains. Shocking I know, but trust me when I say you'll understand why.

After the clearance from the extermination crew, it was finally safe for everyone to venture back down. There were a lot of mice that were discovered after the disinfectant crew finish cleaning everything. They alerted Freddy about this and said that there could be open gaps and cracks in the walls of the basement. They suggested that he should have someone come in to fill in the holes if he wanted to prevent this from happening again. Freddy agreed and stated he would have someone come in as soon as possible. With all the commotion happening in the basement, Bonnie hasn't had the chance to venture down to check on Spring. It worried him with there being so many random strangers messing around down there. What if one of them gets nosey and notices the giant quilt in the corner? What if they discover him and let Freddy know? What would he do? What would he say? However, nothing has been said yet.

Bonnie was sweeping the dining room after all the families went home. He could hear distant grunting and pant from the other end of the hall. Bonnie turned to see Freddy carrying a large bag of cement. "Fred, what are you doing?" Bonnie asked. Freddy took the bag off his shoulder and placed it on the ground. "Oh hey, hun. I'm just going to patch the holes in the basement." Freddy stated. "I thought you were going to call someone in for that?" Bonnie asked again. Freddy wiped the sweat from his brow and picked the bag back up. "I figured it'd be easier to do it myself and safe us the hassle with people coming in and out all the time." This started to worry Bonnie even more. He might have been able to keep Spring safe from the workers, but how was he going to keep him safe from Freddy? If Freddy went down there and discovered Spring's body. All of Bonnie's hard work would be wasted. "Mind if I help you?" Bonnie asked. Freddy frowned at Bonnie's request. "I don't know Bon. There's a polymer in here and that's very dangerous to breathe in. Besides I don't want you doing too much physical labor." Bonnie pouted and rolled his eyes. "Oh come on Freddy I'm not useless!" Bonnie stated. Freddy put his hand up in defense. "I didn't say that! It's just your a little over halfway. Don't you think you should start taking things slow?" Bonnie crossed his arms and pouted again. "Maybe when I'm a little over four to five months we'll talk about bed rest. Please just let me help. I don't have to help you mix it. It'll help with the application part." Freddy scratches the back of his head still not wanting to give in. "Look I'm your only option. Chica is not into dirty work and Foxy doesn't have a steady hand. Especially being left-handed his whole life. Christ half the time you can't read his handwriting." Bonnie stated annoyed. Freddy sighed giving in to his husband. "Alright, you can help." Bonnie wagged his tail and bopped Freddy's nose. "I know you can never say no to me." Freddy blushed and grumbled looking away from Bonnie. "You have to wear a mask if you wanna help though." Bonnie nodded his head. "Fine by me." "Good. I'm going to go and mix this. Meet with me in Parts and Service." Freddy stated as he carried the bag outside. Finally, Bonnie was able to monitor Freddy and distract him so he couldn't find Spring. He just hoped that Spring would be fine for a little while longer.

"Thank goodness that the exterminating crew gave us these extra masks," Bonnie stated as he used the trowel to level off the cement in the cracks. Freddy nodded his head as he continued to spread giant globs of cement into the gaps. They both were wearing respirator masks that were given to them in case of a further issue that they discovered in the basement. "I just hope that this keeps out any pest from coming in here again," Freddy stated. "I'm sure it will. If you want we can go around into other rooms to see if there are any other holes." Bonnie replied. Freddy scoped up more cement and pressed in deep into the cracks. "I didn't see any upstairs so I think we're ok on that end." Freddy set his trowel down and turned towards Bonnie. "You know honey, I've been thinking," Freddy stated. Bonnie chuckled under his masked and looked at Freddy. Even though Freddy couldn't see Bonnie's smile under his mask, he could tell he was smiling through his eyes. "Well that's a little dangerous for you, don't you think?" Freddy just rolled his eyes playfully. "Oh ha ha, you little smart ass." Bonnie sat his trowel down too. "What's on your mind babe?" Bonnie asked. "You know, since we have been together you haven't been in your old room," Freddy stated as he took ahold of Bonnie's paws. "Well yeah, we're married now. Why would I need my old bed when I have you as a mattress?" Freddy just blushed and rolled his eyes. "Ok but seriously, I've been thinking about remodeling it." Bonnie raised his brow. "Why would you want to do that?" Freddy started to gently rub Bonnie's paws and stare into his fiery eyes. God, every time he looked into them it always felt like the first time all over again. "I was thinking since you are halfway along, now would be the best time to start planning a space for Fronnie." Bonnie widens his eyes. "You mean like a nursery?!" Freddy's tail started to wag. "Yes, Exactly! we can repaint the walls and rearrange the furniture. Plus I was thinking about taking a day to go shopping. Just me and you." Bonnie smiled and kissed Freddy's cheek. "Oh Freddy Bear, you planned this out?" Freddy smiled and shivered with delight from Bonnie's gentle touch. "I want to be the best father I can be," Freddy stated. Bonnie rubbed their noses together. "Oh Fred, you already are." Freddy smiled and stood up picking up the bucket of cement and the trowels. Bonnie tried to get up but, the weight of his belly made it hard for him to get on his feet. Freddy chuckled and helped bonnie off the ground. They both took off their masks. "Shut up, I'm not fat!" Bonnie whined and made a pouty face. Freddy just chuckled. "I didn't say it so don't give me that look." They both started to walk towards the stairs when Freddy turned his attention under the stairs. "Hey, what is that?" Bonnie's heart at that moment fell into a black pit. "Shit! Shit! Shit!" Was all that was running through Bonnie's head. Should he tell him the truth? What would Freddy say? Would he understand or would he get rid of him? Bonnie's paternal instincts kicked in at that moment. He needed to protect Spring. The same way he would do anything to protect his baby. If saving Spring meant it would possibly save his family, then Spring's life was worth fighting for. "Oh, that's just a pile of old blankets, nothing important!" Bonnie stated. He could feel his heart racing and his palms becoming sweaty. However, he had to remain calm externally if he wanted to keep Freddy off the track. "Well if they're old then I'll just take them to the garbage," Freddy stated as he went to reach the heavy blanket. Bonnie, without thinking, grabbed Freddy's hand away but quickly embraced it in between both his paws to make it look like he was holding his hand. "Actually hun, I was thinking about using them to make a quilt for the baby," Bonnie stated. Freddy raised a brow at Bonnie's statement despite his questionable reaction. "A quilt?" Bonnie kept hold of Freddy's. For as long as he could keep him distracted, he would lose attention from Spring. "Well you know I've been taking up sewing and crocheting. It's something that keeps me busy." Freddy smiled. "Those caps that you made for Fronnie were very cute. Maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea." Bonnie sighed in relief letting go of Freddy's hand. Freddy smiled and continued to walk up the stairs, He turned to look at Bonnie. "You coming love?" Freddy asked. "I think I'm going to throw these blankets in that wash. I'll be up in a minute." Bonnie replied. Freddy nodded and continued to hold back upstairs. "Let me know if you need my dear." Once Bonnie heard the parts and service door close, he quickly knelt to Spring's height and took the blanket off of him. He looked the same way that he had left him. Bonnie took off the mask from Spring's face. His fingertips gently creased the cheek of the dirty rabbit. He felt warm. Not warm in the sense of he was burning up or he was overheating. This warmth was gentle and comforting. Almost like life was coming back into him. "That was a close one." Bonnie stated softly. "But I made a promise that I would keep you save." He tidied up Spring's fur a bit before he wrapped him up again in his cocoon of sanctuary.
