We get to Tempest, everyone greets us. Tibbers goes and does the trades. I go look for looking for Beni. Souei is already on to me. Now it takes a little bit to sense him. Since Lord Rimuru became a demon lord. Beni became stronger. I definitely don't have a chance now... He'll want someone that's just as strong as him. Even though I was able to give Tibbers a name. I have some magic strength. It's nowhere near Lord Rimuru's before he became a Demon Lord.

"Huntress (Y/N) you're back!"

"Gobta you can just call me (Y/N). It feels weird you calling me that. You're much stronger then me."

"That's not true! You can keep up with the Old Man!"

"What was that?!" There's Hakurou.

"I mean Master!?" Gobta freaks out.

"Hmmm... Huntress (Y/N) the Young Master is waiting for you in the garden."

"Fine... I'll see you all later." I head to the main house.

Sometimes I wish I had stronger magic. So I could at least be near Beni's level. Maybe even a monster. I'm just an elf, it's forbidden for a human and a monster to be together... This sucks...

I walk into the garden, and Beni is already waiting. "Hey, Benimaru." I walk over to him.

"(Y/N) you're back. How was your hunt?"

"It was alright..."

"Did something happen?"

"Nothing bad. I saw the Red Ice Fox..."

"That's amazing! But you're not happy?"

"I wasn't able to catch it. I was able to keep up with it. It got away."

"I believe you."

"What...? I don't have proof!"

"You've never lied to me to once. I believe you haven't."

"No, I haven't. But why would you believe me?"

"I trust you (Y/N). I trust you with the lives of this village, Shuna's and my own."

Wow, that's a lot of trust. "But why though? I haven't done much for the village."

"But you have, you've helped establish trades with other small villages. We've got a lot more travellers asking for armour and furs."

"That's not much."

He smiles, "it's more than enough." He steps closer. "I would like for you to stay here. Make Tempest your home."

"Benimaru I... I can't."

"Why not?"

"I don't like sleeping in buildings, you know that. There's no point in me having a place."

"You don't need a place. You and Tibbers can stay in the main house."

"What?! No, we can't! We're not elite officers. Or anything! We're just hunters!"

"Tibbers will have own his room. You'll be sharing a room."

"No no! It's completely fine we don't need commendation!"

"You don't want to share a room with me?"

"What...? Share a room with you?"

He steps closer to you. "Yes, share a room with me." He looks you in the eyes, "(Y/N) you're an exceptional huntress. Not only that you fight with determination. You speak your mind." He takes your hand, "you're a woman I want by my side."

"Wh... But I'm not strong. No way near as strong as you. Beni, there are other women that are -"

"I don't want other women." He pulls you closer, "since we met you've never looked at me like a monster."

"I don't judge people on what they are."

"That's it, you think of us as people."

"Why wouldn't I?"

"You shouldn't, we're different. You're an elf, I'm a monster! But you see us as equals!"

"Race shouldn't matter."

"It does in this world."

"Do you really want to... Share a room with me?"

"Yes, I do. I want to be with you."

"I..." You back off.

"You don't want to be together?"

"I do, I want to be with you. It's just, I never expected you to like me back. I expected you to be with someone stronger than me, like Albis."

"She is stronger than you, she would make a good partner. You," he pulls you back in. "You are the one I want. Say yes. Sleep with me tonight."

You bit your lip. "But I... I've never... Been with anyone..."

"I'll be your only one."

"Yeah, you would be." He smiles, "well... I guess we can share a room."

He smiles, tilts your chin up. "What about we share a kiss?"

"A... Kiss..."

"Yes," before you could say anything. He kisses you, holding you closer.

You tense up, and quickly relax. You melt into the kiss.

He pulls away, you touch your lips. "You okay?"

"Y-Yes I'm okay. Everything is a first for me."

"I'm honoured to be your first."

"Hehe, I'm glad you are."
