Chapter 36 | Dating🍈

"Y/n!" he shouts with a happy grin.
You walk around the table to sit next to Tengen-sama again. He greets you by laying his hand on your leg.
"Hi y/n" Zenitsu slurs. His face is red and his eyes don't seem to focus on anything.

How much did he drink? Is that drool dripping from his mouth???

"Hey" you respond to him and Inosuke who raises his drink in your direction.

"Y/n!!! You're baaack" Kyōjurō-san notices.

"I am" you answer smiling.
"What did I miss?"

Tengen-sama takes a sip of some liquid before answering: "Oh nothing. Just Kyōjurō
trying to say something clever."
He's trying hard to not spit his drink while laughing at his own joke.

Kyōjurō-san slaps his hands on the table.
"I'M SORRAI! What did you just say???" he shouts.
He doesn't look intimidating at all. Rather cute with his red cheeks and irritated looking eyes.

"Hey man, calm down. I was joking."

Kyōjurō-san pouts but sits down again.
Everyone seems relieved. Tho drunk an angry hashira isn't the nicest thing to have.

Tengen-sama grabs you around the waist and leans to your ear.
"Where have you been? I missed you" he whispers.

You chuckle.
"I missed you too. Oyakata-sama wanted to talk to me" you whisper back.

Tengen-sama hesitates.
"Everything fine?"

"Sure. He just wanted to know if I'm comfortable with you."

Tengen-sama grins.
"So?"

"I told him that you're the most crucial person I know and that he needs to save me from you."
You stick out your tongue.

Tengen-sama's hand strokes over your hip as your outfit emphasizes your body.
"Mmh. I don't think that you said that. Anyways it's already too late to be saved" he purrs.

You can feel the lust without looking him into the eyes. You blush and squeeze your thighs together.
Tengen-sama backs up.

"WAIT. WAIT. WAIT", Kyōjurō-san interrupts you again, "Are you guys dating??!"

A sudden silence falls onto the table like a carpet. A silence that even affects you. Everyone looks at you. You look at Tengen-sama who looks at Rengoku-san.

"You're drunk Kyōjurō. Don't get silly ideas."

It takes a second for everyone to understand. Then they start talking again and you slump down a bit. You're not sure what you expected but it still kinda hurt.

You feel Tengen-sama's eyes on you but you're not looking at him.

Happily Inosuke distracts you by asking: "Hey y/n, aren't you using two nichirin blades too?"

You nod at the boar head.

"That's so cool. I've never met someone else who uses the same fighting style like me except for the crystal dude" he shouts.

You smile at the term.

"I would say that your fighting style is very unique and that I don't have the same one but I guess we're both using the same techniques" you defend yourself.

You don't want your wonderful shadow breathing be compared to an animal.

Because of the boar head you can't see Inosuke's expression but he either is satisfied with the answer or too dump to get it.

"I'm also very interesting in your fighting style! You're doing it like it's a game" Zenitsu claims.

"Thank you."

"You're using poisons right? How do you get them?" Tanjirou joins the conversation.

You gulp.
"I made them with chemics. But I've made so much a long time ago that I can wait another year at least until I need to create new ones" you explain.

Kanao suddenly appears out of the grows and sits down next to you with a happy smile.
Surprised you wait for her to tell you the reason of her sudden arrival.

"Go on. I heard you chatting and wanted to participate" she whispers.

Not questioning her hearing skills you are about to continue.
You notice Tanjirou looking at Kanao in a different way than the others.
You smile.

"It's difficult tho. It needs around one week to create the poisons so if you ever ask me to watch me do it I can already tell you that this won't be possible" you add.

Everyone listens at you with interest. You gotta be careful to not say too much. You don't want anyone to get suspicious.

"And what material do you use to create the venom? Are you hunting spiders and snakes? I could show you some tricks" Inosuke shouts.

You can feel your insides getting chaotic and force them to be in a peaceful sleep again.
"Haha no. Or half yes. I in fact use the poisons of common fish sometimes but I will create new poisons with them. I'm not using all natural venom at all."

This is getting difficult...

"But isn't this super dangerous? What if you accidentally give some of it to a civilian or a dosis for a demon isn't enough?" Zenitsu asks.

Sweat forms on your forehead.
How do you tell this without telling the forbidden thing?

Tengen-sama clears his throat.
"I trust y/n to know what she's doing. After all Oyakata-sama does too. We shouldn't question something he's allowing, right?"

Everyone seems satisfied with this.
You take a deep breath.
Then you look at Tengen-sama. He's looking at you and understands your gratefulness by nodding.

"Wanna grab some drinks?" Tengen-sama switches the topic.

"Uuuhhhh yeeaaahhh!" Kyōjurō-san shouts so loud that the whole place goes silent for a second.

"Not for you" Tengen-sama adds and boxes his friend.

"I've had enough" Tanjirou answers.

"It's only been one?!" Inosuke claims shocked.

"I don't see a problem"Tanjirou fires back.

"If someone else wants too, I will drink another drink too" Zenitsu slurs.

The intelligence of his phrase is amazing.

"I will definitely get one" Inosuke answers.

"I'll accompany you" Kanao says.

"ME TOO!" Rengoku-san trys his luck again. No one stops him. With an evil grin he raises from the bench.

"I'll pass too" you respond.

Tengen-sama puts a hand in your shoulder before demanding:"Alright, then let's go!"

And so the four demon slayers follow him like a goose and its babies.

Finally you're alone with Tanjirou.
