"Y/n, you're back! We were worried about you. Why did it take you so long? Are you alright?", Tanjirou greets you with concern written all over his face.

You give a thumbs up to the three boys sitting on Oyakata-sama's house's veranda eating udon.
At the smell of it your stomach grumbles so loud that Tanjirou's mouth is agape. On top of that you look like shit. Pine needles and dirt still cover your hair. You tried to shake them off earlier but it wasn't successful. Pebbles stick like glue to your leathers and bruises begin to form on your wrists. The relieved expression on your face is not an untruth though. You've had worse days. Seeing the boys peacefully existing is enough to give you a glimpse of happiness.
Apart from the boys no one else gets into the radius of your senses. Wherever Tengen-san went off to, he's not here. Neither is another hashira.

"I am so sowwwyyyy", Zenitsu cries out and falls onto his knees, totally forgetting about his meal. His forehead kisses the wood of the veranda as he apologizes over and over again under tears.
You stagger on the gravel path to the veranda but immediately forget about the pain in your body when seeing Zenitsu being so overwhelmed with guilt. A gentle smile tugs on your lips.
You kneel down on the wood to be closer to Zenitsu. Tanjirou and Inosuke move to give you a little more space.
"Don't apologize, you did great. Your speed is more than magnificent. You should be proud of yourself for being able to simply knock me off a tree without me noticing you at all", you comfort the yellow haired boy.

His speed really is creepy. A lot of potential is yet uncovered which scares you even more.

"For real?", he sobs and lifts his head to meet your gaze. Tears slide down his rosy cheeks. You cup them in your palms.
You expect Insouke to comment something but for once his mouth stays shut.

"No worries."

Zenitsu's eyes never shined brighter.

After a noon and night of recovering you leave your bed immediately after dawn. The boys left to Shinobu-san's estate yesterday as Oyakata-sama's house doesn't have space for them if every hashira comes over. At least that's the reason he told them. You know that in reality he doesn't want them to eavesdrop their  meeting. You're certain that none of them would eavesdrop on purpose but at least Insouke's hearing is so precise that he couldn't do anything about it. Sending him away alone would have been too humiliating.
Although their absence - and especially Nezuko's - feels like you've given away a piece of yourself you also welcome the freedom and silence. Having a few hours for yourself before confronting all hashiras sounds awesome.

After gulping down a few onigiris you leave Oyakata-sama's house. Spending too much time inside it gives you the impression of being caught. Also, you want to spend some time with Tori. The last week you were very busy.

Even though your wounds aren't completely healed you don't notice them anymore when moving.
You don't have a certain aim. All you want is being by yourself and mentally prepare for the hashiras. You gotta admit that you're looking forward to seeing Kyōjurō-san again. He doesn't seem like the type to hold a grudge against you. If it were otherwise you would be shocked. The image of Tokito-san flashes in your mind. He survived. But he has all rights to hate you and that's what's scaring you. The most hashira is too cute to be furious. Giyu-san already showed you that he doesn't care about what happened and you really wonder if there's anything he cares about. Obanai-san never was on the friendly side of communication. His judgement doesn't bother you at all. His only true friend seems to be the snake anyways. Kanao told you in a letter that Shinobu-san tolerated your behavior because Shin was family. But what about Mitsuri-san? Shinazugawa-san will definitely argue and Himejima-san will definitely be quiet.
What's bothering you most is Tengen-san. His reaction yesterday didn't really tell you what he thinks about you. It shouldn't be of meaning what he thinks about you. He's a narcissistic, egoistic and horny piece of shit. Nevertheless you care about his opinion. And you abhor it.
