Abir Bharadwaj

"Kunal, explain karna. Kyu tu hi conclude kar raha hai ki mai samjhunga nahi? Humare parents kyu jail jayenge?" I asked again calmly looking at him. We were in the apartment that he had bought for himself and Kuhu to stay, after their marriage. Mishti was staring at him weirdly as Kuhu fidgeted her fingers nervously. Maanav was as always, drinking mojito.

"Mai explain karungi na Abir. Humare parents nahi. Ye bhi jail jayega unke saath." Mishti stormed angrily. What happened to this girl!
"Mishti-"
"Tu beech me mat bol Kuhu. Kab samjhoge tum? Har galat insaan ko chance dete rahoge kya? Stop being a victim." She interrupted.
"Hogaya? Ghar chalte hai chal. Calmly kuch khaake baat karenge." Maanav suggested.

"Shut up." Both the girls screamed and finally, that brought some sense in Kunal.
"Abir, mai tumhe bahut batana chahta tha. Pata hi nahi chala kaise mai unke jhaal me phas gaya." He stated being guilty. What was he talking about?
"Money laundering karna is not a small issue Kunal. Aur wo bhi humse chupana, is not acceptable." Mishti declared as I froze.

He was the one who was transferring money from our companies? He not only betrayed me, but he betrayed himself. What kind of a person does that! Unless and until he's threatened, Kunal wouldn't have done it.
"Pehle se batao Kunal. Kya hua?" I asked him.

"Seriously? Kya hua? Because of your little brother we are all doomed! Baba ne bola tha jab maine pucha hum kyu un dono ke against case file nahi kar sakte. That if we find the person who supported them financially, we could arrest them all together. Agar koi better sawal hai to pucho." She raised her voice.

"Shut the hell up or else leave!" I stormed as she fell silent.
"Baat kar raha hu na! Dikh nahi raha? Ab patience kaha gayi tumhari? Batane do usko." I replied. Kunal sighed deeply and sat down on the chair.
"Jab Kunal ko pata chala ki illegally money transfer ho raha hai, he checked all the accounts of the company." Kuhu spoke up.

"And then his mother started blackmailing him. Uske paas koi aur choice nahi tha. Kunal's dad's brother, he tried to go against it. Par unke pehle mere papa ne try kiya. And he ended up dead." She stated without any emotion.
"Kunal ke chacha jail chale gaye. Par unhone proofs saare chodke gaye the. Those files that you stole. They are the proof." She stated.

"Kiske liye proof hai wo?" Maanav asked tensed.
"Ki PRIDE ke naam par saalon se illegal human aur drug trafficking chal raha hai. From the funds of Vardhan textiles, Bharadwaj industries and Bose group of companies." Mishti completed looking at me, worried.
"Chamaila!" Maanav exaggerated.

"Isme humare parents bhi involved hai. Isiliye hum bhatinda gaye the taaki hum us mediator ko pakad sake. Turns out it was you all the time." Mishti said scoffing, looking at Kunal.
"Par here's an interesting fact. Jo paise Kuhu ke papa ne Kite me invest kiya, us shell company se ek paisa bhi withdraw nahi hua." Mishti smirked.
"Because you're the sole proprietor Kuhu." I smiled at her.

"That's not a thing to be happy about Abir. Isiliye Maa ne humari prenuptial agreement banaya. So that, after marriage, they know we'd apply for divorce. Whatever assets we have, wo divorce ke baad legally divide hoga. Tab 300 me 150 crores Kunal ke company ke liye hi fixed hoga. Then nobody can ever stop Sindhu Vardhan. Maa phir mujhse forcefully sign karwake remaining 150 crores bhi transfer kardegi." Kuhu said.

"Isiliye wo log tum dono ko bathinda tak jaane diya. Taaki unko pata chale ki ye Kite hai kaha. They never knew in which shell company Varun Singh had saved all the money." Kunal completed.
"Abhi humare parents ko kaise bachana hai ye important hai." Mishti said coldly.
"Tujhe batana chahiye tha Nanko. Mai handle karta na." I said looking at him.
"Kaise Abir? Tum mujhe ek dhokedar ke tarah dekh sakte the. I couldn't bear that." He looked down.
