The quote, in the beginning, is a great way to start since it is enigmatic, which draws the reader's attention, and lets us know a bit about the story. Bloom is introduced as a mysterious wanderer. We know her goal but everything else is to be discovered in the story. Iian is not very explored but we know their intentions.

The suspense part was well achieved. We get all the info we need on Dragonix and everything that is at stake.

(I actually put my book in as part of the entries and I was told that I won, but since I'm the host I have decided that I will not be counted and the spot should be given to the participants)

What We Fake by Evelynfrost23

Relevancy To Blurb: 20/20
Hook: 26/30

The title was quite interesting as it draws a few questions from readers like why is there a need to fake? And to find out the Why, readers would want to know the "What". However, not absolutely original as well, there's nothing wrong with that because the hook is good. The thing I wanted to commend you on was that it was both relevant to the blurb and also poses a message for your readers to reflect on.

Comment - A very interesting start. Your description of this character is an ingenious way to start the novel, giving us these subtle details whilst hooking your audience right away. Anyone reading such a paragraph will no doubt find themselves reading on. Great job.

The Special Category winners are decided based on their wins in the General Category, so that means any winners of the previous genres will not be given a place in the Special Category as it is meant for others to have a chance at winning the awards even if their books may not be the best. Hence, the ones with the highest marks in Special Category but have won a place in the General Category will not obtain the rights to win in the Special Category 🥺

We hope all can understand that 🫶🏻
