Aurora had always made friends easily, even in her human years, she just had a sense of comfort to her. Her warm smile and inviting personality drew most to her so it didn't surprise anyone when she befriended Bella.

After the nomad fiasco, Aurora and Bella had just clicked. Bella had become curious one afternoon, even more so than usual, and had asked the girl for her story.

The human-vampire pair had been watching a movie in Bella's living room when Bella suddenly paused it.

"Edward explained Esme and Carlisle's story but he didn't bring up yours, why?" She had blurted, causing Aurora's wide eyes to fly to her.

"You don't have to answer that, I'm sorry that was insensitive!" Bella told, nervously, before she could answer.

"It's quite alright, it's only human nature to ask questions, " Aurora smiled at the curious human, "He knows to ask permission before telling someone's story."

She informed Aurora of her knowledge, "Edward said that Carlisle only turned people when they were dying."

"Oh, well Carlisle didn't change me," Aurora chuckled.

Bella had only made a confused noise.

"Would you like the whole story, if so we will be here for quite a while?" She asked.

"The whole story," She gave Aurora her undivided attention.

"Well, I believe it was...1692," She informed looking slightly confused, "I lived in a village, we did not have a lot of money but we got by on what we had. Sometime that year, a group of girls had become mysteriously ill and accused Tituba, a slave from South America who had told their fortunes, of witchcraft."

"Witchcraft?" Bella interrupted, incredulously.

"Yes, witchcraft, I believe it was the beginning of what you humans call The Salem Witch Trials," Aurora informed, earning a look of disbelief from the human, "And quite a lot of our village residents had been put to trial, mostly women, and those little girls started all it, convincing many to join, accusing anyone they disliked or feared of witchcraft."

"And that was what happened to you?" Bella asked.

"I'm getting to it, I promise," She told, in no rush, "Tituba, after admitting she was a witch to survive, accused two other girls."

She stopped for a moment waiting for Bella to ask questions only to get silence.

"There was a little girl, she was only four years old and had to watch her little sister die and then her mother hung, it drove the poor girl insane," Aurora frowned, an angry look on her face, "After I was accused, I refused to admit guilt, many others did the same. See if you admitted to practicing witchcraft you were shown mercy, but why would I admit to something so ridiculous, something untrue?"

"We were sentenced to hang, a woman's husband was pressed to death!" A snarl took over Aurora's features for a moment before it twisted into a frown, "Doctors weren't as experienced back then, so when they took me down my heart was still beating, faintly but it was still beating. Nikolus found me, he took pity on me and turned me into what I am now and in a fit of anger, newborn bloodlust, I killed everyone in that village, including my own family."

"Everyone?" Bella asked in a quiet voice, not able to imagine her eccentric friend committing a slaughter as she described.

    "Everyone." She confirmed, sadly.

It was silent for a moment before Aurora's face twisted with regret.

"I shouldn't have told you that," She sighed, "You'll have nightmares now, won't you?"

"No," Bella answered quickly, unpausing their movie.

Neither paid any attention to the movie, too absorbed in their thoughts.

Alice and Aurora went shopping for Bella's birthday in Port Angles, it was the next day and Alice wanted to throw a party for the human.

"What do I get her?" Aurora asked Alice, looking over the trinkets.

"Keep searching, you'll see it," Alice told, eyes gleaming with excitement as she ran around picking out decorations.

Aurora sighed as she went up and down the isles, nothing interesting her quite yet.

As she ran her hands across a book, the title caused her to snort, the book was perfect for Bella. It was called '65 Ways To Put A Man In His Place.'

Aurora found Edward and Bella's relationship quite odd, Edward had to hold back so much because of his bloodlust and Bella let his weird behavior slide, such as watching her sleep without her knowledge.

She had also found a Halloween charm bracelet shoved between a few records with a witch, a vampire, a werewolf, and a mummy charm attached.

She wound up buying the two for the girl, finding them hilarious.

Emmett and Rosalie found them hilarious too, he hollered with laughter, and Rosalie smirked when they saw them, Edward didn't seem too amused.
