By the time Friday had hit, Meredith had been feeling better. Thatcher had still been nice, but not the best. He continued to drink and even broke up with his girlfriend. Somehow he became nicer.

Meredith still had a few bruises but planned on keeping them covered. She was a mastermind at that. The whole clan had been piped up about this huge party Mark was hosting that night. The entire school was going.

The school day went by fast. Meredith ended up meeting up with Jack and she invited him to the party. Then by the time she knew it, the school day was over. It was safe to say that Meredith wasn't sure about the party, she didn't want to be around a bunch of people drinking. But her friends would be there, so it made it a little better for her.

Meredith had begun getting ready for the party, she put on a black shoulderless dress that was tight enough to show off her curves. It was a little shimmery but on too much. Then she fixed up her bruises and she was done.

Meredith met up with Derek outside Who was her sober ride. Derek couldn't help but notice how nice Meredith looked, she looked so pretty. He wanted her to be his girl.

After a short car ride, they made it to Mark's house. Which was huge, it looked like it had at least six bedrooms and two living rooms. The house looked beautiful. Maybe the nicest one on the block.

"Grey! Shepard!" Mark cheered from the living room. The music was blasting and there were people everywhere. Meredith glanced around the room to see if she knew anyone.

"Hey man!" Derek spoke back, naturally taking Meredith's hand and leading her toward the living room. It almost felt comforting, like he was trying to be protective.

"You two dating yet?" Mark chuckled, his finger pointing at the two.

"Nope," Derek responded, giving Mark a quick smile.

"Have you seen Christina and them?" Meredith asked, glancing around the room.

"They're in the kitchen," Mark said while pointing in that direction. A crowd of people was dancing and singing in front of the walkway. "I would be careful Mer." He added, watching as she adventured through. Derek looked over at Mark with worry before following her. And before he knew it, Meredith had been stopped by Jack.

"Hey there!" Jack spoke stopping her in her tracks.

"Hi, how are you!"

"I'm alive!" He chuckled "Let's go get a drink!"

Derek watched as the two disappeared onto the crowd. He couldn't help but feel jealous. Nothing would happen, right? Meredith said she loved him.

"Damn," Mark sighed "He's a player."

"Huh?" Derek asked, surprised he glanced over toward Mark who repeatedly nodded.

"I'd snatch her if I were you," He whispered in his ear "He's not nice when he is drunk."

"Alright, thanks, Mark." Derek sighed, as he began to brush Through the crowd of people. He grew annoyed when he couldn't find Meredith. Finally, he reached the kitchen, and only Meredith and Jack were in there. But they didn't notice him yet.

Derek observed for a few moments before continuing, hearing as the music was quiet in the kitchen and you could hear everything they were saying. But before he knew it, Meredith began to look uncomfortable. As the boy inched close to her until she was cornered.

"You're so pretty," He mumbled and caressed her cheek. She winced, beginning to push him away.

"Not today Jacky poo," Derek growled, taking him by his elbow and pulling him off of Meredith.

"Hey! She's mine. Get lost," The boy growled back, throwing a punch at Derek. It caught him in the eye just right.

"She's not an object," Derek yelled, grabbing him by the collar and punching him across the face. The boy scurried away when he'd finally let go "Bastard." Derek sighed, turning around to look at Meredith. Who had tears falling from her cheeks. Before he could say anything she wrapped her arms around him tightly. Relief washed over him. He hugged her back his head resting on hers.

"T-Thank you," Meredith mumbled. Her face was buried into his shirt. Tears begin falling from her eyes.

"What happened?" She heard Addie speak, the. Everything started to get cloudy and dark.

"Someone tried touching her," He muttered, still angry.

"D-Derek," She gasped, grabbing onto his shirt "He spiked my drink. I-I'm going to pass out." She cried out as she began to lose consciousness.

"What the hell!" Alex shouted, coming into the room. Christina behind him. They watched as their best friend had begun falling to the ground.

"I'm taking her to my house," Derek mumbled, picking her up bridal style. "It was Jack he tried touching her, I'm pretty sure he drugged her too," Derek told the two before disappearing into the crowd. There were many gasps heard as well as eyes on the two.

"I'm sorry Shep," Mark apologized as he followed them out the door "I'll catch him. You go help you're girl alright?"

Your girl.

Derek couldn't help of think of that the car ride to his house. Meredith leaned back in the passenger seat, still asleep. He couldn't help but feel bad as well. He should have followed and not let his jealousy get to him. He could have prevented it. She'd been t

When Derek got home, he quietly carried her up to his room and tucked her in. Then made a note for her on the table next to her, telling her to know that he was in the guest room sleeping. He gave her a soft kiss on the four head and went to bed in the room across from his. He'd finally fallen asleep in just a few minutes.
