Thea made her way towards the door heading out of the Tacoma Art Museum where she'd worked for the past six months.

"Bye, Thea."

Thea turned to the receptionist with a smile,
"Bye, have a nice evening."

"You too."

She stepped out of the building and inhaled the cooling air into her lungs before releasing it slowly and steadily. She turned to make the short walk back to her dormitory but almost immediately slowed down when she looked up and found him leaning against the building with a smile on his face as he watched her.

She chuckled and slowly headed towards him,
"I thought you had a bingo date."

Killian pushed away from the building wall and shook his head,
"Nah, Martin doesn't mind."

Martin was an older citizen whom Killian had gotten to know at the retirement home he worked at. His job wasn't anything fascinating but he just liked working there mostly because of the fulfilment it gave him. He got to spend his time with people he got to share a laugh with and a good time, people who had learnt lessons from their life and got to share some of those things with him. He loved it and he was getting paid for it. It wasn't much but it was something and he knew even if Brookdale lost its budget, he would volunteer without a second's hesitation.

Thea stopped in front of him and they both stood there for a moment looking at each other with a smile on each of their faces.

"Hey." Killian said,

"Hey."

Thea's gaze dropped to the brown paper bag he had in his hand,
"What do you have in there?"

Killian's smile grew an inch wider. Every time she opened her mouth and talked, he always had the urge to take out his phone and have her repeat herself while he recorded.

Thea's gaze shifted from the paper bag to meet his and she couldn't help but smile when she found him smiling down at her the way he always so sweetly did. It made her feel special like he only had eyes for her and she was everything to him. It was the best feeling in the world and she hoped it would never end.

"What?" She asked,

Killian just snorted a laugh lightly and shook his head with a slight shrug,
"Nothing." He lifted the paper bag and the content in his other hand, "Chocolate glazed and your favourite bubble tea."

Thea gasped as she grabbed the paper bag and wasted no time taking out the doughnut and taking her first bite, which she knew was always the best bite.
"Ugh, that never gets old." She said with her mouth full.

Killian laughed and put his free hand around her then started walking together as she ate her doughnut. He silently watched her and she glanced at him and smiled.

"Thank you for this." She said, "I was secretly craving it."

Killian shook his head,
"It's not a secret. You're craving it all the time."

It was true. As soon as they stepped out of Connie's after she'd eaten a couple of doughnuts, she was already craving some more.

"Here." Killian took the empty paper bag from her and handed her the drink.

"Thank you." She put the tip of the straw in her mouth and sipped on it, "What happened to bingo?"

"Told Martin it was your first day back to work since we resumed and he did everything except get up and push me out to come here before you got off."

"Did he also tell you to get me my favourite things?" She smiled,

"No," Killian smiled, "That was all me."

"You're sweet." She said before she leaned and sipped on her drink.

Killian laughed and pulled her closer to him then placed a kiss on her temple,
"That's your title, babe."

Babe.
Thea thought with a smile as they walked to her dormitory,

She was someone's babe and most importantly, Killian's babe.

They were close to her dorm when Thea brought up the conversation and they had to stop in front of her building where students came in and out of continuously.

"Saturday." She said, "Would give us more time to hang out."

"No," Killian said, "Mac's Saturdays are unpredictable."

"Then I guess we should make it Friday."

"Friday isn't the best but I'll make sure she knows it's important."

"Alright then." She smiled and swooned, "It's a date."

"A double date."

"Not sure we should mention that to them, though."

"Why? I'm pretty sure your brother and my sister would hit it off as soon as they meet." Killian was being sarcastic,

"Hey," Thea smacked his arm lightly, "Don't jinx it."

"Fine." He put his hands up in mock surrender, "Let's just take it as it comes."

"Good. I'll see you in class tomorrow."

"Or tonight on facetime." He took a step towards her,

"Or that." She smiled as she tilted her head back.

Killian smiled down at her knowing exactly what was going through her mind because it was the same thing that was going through his. Thea's gaze dropped to his lips and she sighed when she saw the smile there.

"You're not going to do it, are you?"

She knew the answer to that, so instead of standing there and letting herself want it more than she already did, she took a reluctant step back.

"You know I want to."

"You say that every time." She looked at her shoes and shook her head, "I don't know what you're waiting for."

"I want our first kiss to be special and not something we do for the sake of doing it."

She lifted her gaze to look at his face for a moment before a smile reached her lips,
"It's usually the girl that wants things like that."

Killian reached up and tucked her hair behind her ear,
"Well, I want that for you. And selfishly, for me."

Thea chuckled lightly,
"Goodnight."

"Goodnight." He leaned in and placed a kiss on her forehead before letting her go.

Thea turned around and headed towards the door to her building. Killian put his hands in his pocket and watched as she stopped at the door and turned to look at him with a smile. She waved and he waved back before she headed inside, the door shutting behind her.

He couldn't get the smile off his face as he turned and headed down the pedway heading towards his dorm.
