So anyway, I'm in the mood for some angst, so these next chapters might be... dark. Or edgy.

How did you get into this mess?

You always wondered that.

Here we sat in Earthrealm, now in despair and ruin as Shao Kahn, the ruler of Outworld was wreaking havoc for war, power and dominion over all the realms.

In the middle of all this chaos, you were just an innocent bystander caught in the middle.

Set between the fight for good against evil, you were unwittingly set in the middle of life and death.

How you underestimated the thought.

Now here you are, set in a team with an ice-making man named Subzero, and a man who smokes a lot. (My asthma could never LMAO)

Who unironically, dubbed the name Smoke.

Now far along the mission and adventure, dealing with and fighting against enemies with these two men, you grew closer to the gray ninja.

You'd never thought you'd find friendship in this unlikely duo.

Of course, as the missions progressed, you realized your relationship grew from friendship, to that of.. infatuation.

Or a crush to put simply.

After traveling for so long, and even being separated from subzero, you both decided to set a camp in the winter wonderland woods.

You were tasked with setting up the tents, and keeping watch for the night.

Smoke set out to find and catch food, and firewood for the campfire he was also tasked with.

While setting up your tents, you couldn't help but reminisce on the story of how you were chosen into this war. The friends and allies you met along the way.

How you met smoke.

You thought it was just luck messing with you when Subzero had to leave and go back to his clan to save them from the tyranny of becoming ninja machines.

Understanding as it was, it left you alone with smoke.

You couldn't help but let put a chuckle as you thought of all the events that lead up to now.

Of course as it would happen, smoke walked back into the camp as you chuckled, and suddenly blurted out to you, "What's so funny y/n?" He asked.
