Yakap ang sarili ay mabilis ang aking mga hakbang palayo sa bahay na iyon. It was raining cats and dogs as I crossed the road with my bare feet. Wala akong dalang panangga sa ulan kaya ngayon ay naliligo na ako ng ulan.
"Do you think running away from me will save your life from death ?"
My heart almost stop beating as soon as I heard that deep voice. My feet automatically stopped when I saw who is infront of me now. Basang-basa na din siya ng ulan tulad ko.
My eyes widened. "H-How..."
"I'm always keeping my eyes on you, remember?"
I took in a sharp breath. I don't know what to do at this moment. I just want to stay away from him. We can't stay together.
"Stop this crap now. Just... Just leave me alone! Stay away from me!" I shouted.
"You know I can't do that."
A tear fell from my eyes followed by another. "I don't need you..."
"Pierce..."
I bit my lower lip when he lifted his hand to touch my cheeks using the back of his hand. He softly wiped the tears away that were falling from my eyes.
His jaw clenched. "Don't cry."
"Please let me go..." my voice trembled.
He smiled. It was an empty smile.
"Akala mo ba ganun lang kadali 'yon? Kung sa'yo oo, sa 'kin hindi. You're the only one I need right now. I can't let you go. Not now, not tomorrow, Pierce."
