I shut the folder after signing it and I stand up from my desk. I had already told Jayla to Contact Grayson letting him know to come over to my home office. Now it was just the awkward wait.

My bookshelf is filled from top to bottom with books I've read over the years. The sudden urge to trail my fingers over them makes me do exactly that. My finger gets caught in one of the books. I pulled it out and realized it was one of my favorite ones.

For some reason, a scene in the book flashes into my mind. The scene of the main male character trailing kisses over the girl's entire body. I bite my lip and grip the book. Why do these things pop into my head right now?

I hear a step behind me and I go into protective mode. I swiftly turn pull a knife from my waist and grab hold of the figure behind me. Pushing it into my bookshelf. My arm over its chest. The other holding the knife to its neck.

"Jesus Evelyn!" My eyes finally focus on the face and I realize It's Grayson. He groans at the closeness of not only the knife but our bodies. My face goes pink and I push away. "I apologize, you caught me off guard." Grayson clears his throat and brushes his dress shirt on. It's then that I take him in.

He was wearing Dress shoes and pants, both black and a white dress shirt. His sleeves were rolled up to his forearms, and you could slightly see his abs through the shirt. I hated that I will now admit that he's stunningly attractive.

I hated that I could somehow see the scenario in my book play out with him.

Stop Evelyn.....

How I could see him grab my waist and prop me onto the desk in this very room and fill my neck with warm kisses.
