Like a shooting star, I will go the distance

I will search the world, I will face its harms

I don't care how far, I can go the distance

'Till I find my hero's welcome waiting in your arms

I will search the world, I will face its harms
'Till I find my hero's welcome waiting in your arms

Michael Bolton - Go The Distance

《No ones Pov》

Hercules gave a kind grin to the residents of his homeland as they expressed their gratitude to him for once again protecting the area. In spite of the fact that the people in the village used to essentially despise him for being unable to manage his strength, he didn't think it was any difficulty because those who nurtured him had grown up there. It was the least he could do.

He had just returned from a trip to Olympus and had to leave as soon as he arrived because Hera, well, she wasn't really fond of him at all. Hera would become enraged every time she saw Hercules and either try to fabricate evidence against him to prevent him from entering Olympus or just be hostile to him. Of course, there was also the whole attempting to kill him thing.

"Is something wrong chieftain ?" the chieftain was the village's chief or in other words the leader of the village. "mm yes ma boy, the villagers have been getting quite Tuffy over their hunting lands forest, sayin' that a big man en' his boy', are roamin' them areas." The village chieftain had a slight accent to him, Hercules nodded his head.

"I'll go check it out." Hercules, had stated with a smile. These villagers were rather scared of the unknown and relied on him a lot.

Herakles, or Hercules depending on how you wanted to call him, was the son of Zeus, and he had a lot on his shoulders recently, not only was he dealing with monsters nearby that roamed around these village parts, but he also had to deal with some wandering people, but it was fine, Herakles rather much live this life instead of being in Olympus where he is ignored half of the time by his father, and tormented by Hera.

Herakles didn't understand why he was being punished by Hera, for his father's mistakes, but somewhere deep down, Herakles hoped Hera didn't actually hate him.

Heading towards the forest it was Herakles did.

《Mean-while》

Y/n awoke from a thunderous nightmare, pun intended, with a parched throat and a curdling gasp.

"Hand me the wood." Atreus turned to stare at his father before turning to face their modest cabin, where Y/n was currently resting.

Y/n had carefully made her way outside the actually well-built cabin when she spotted Kratos. Despite the fact that it was a little chilly outside, he was hardly dressed, giving him a towering figure.

"Hm. You are awake." Kratos declared in a harsh voice as he successfully lit a fire. Y/n thanked the man formally for his assistance as recollections of her panic attack flooding back to her.

"Thank you; may I have your name? Mines Y/n." Stepping closer, Y/n questioned as she felt the warmth of the fire against her cold flesh. It felt nice, and her S/c skin warmed up rapidly. "Kratos." He pointed at a nearby log for her to sit on and mumbled incoherently. "Sit Woman, your feet are in poor condition, and you have cuts on your feet, probably from wearing uncomfortable shoes," Kratos exhaled and finished the flames as he fixed a harsh look on the woman who was blushing.

"You're flushed, move closer to the fire to get warm." He ordered. Y/n nodded while her flush was intense.

"I'm Atreus, this is my father, don't mind him. He's normally this grumpy!" he said as he quickly approached, flashing a wide smile and holding out his hand. As he cheerfully shook Y/n's hand, "It's nice to meet you." Y/n chuckled when she spoke, as she admired the adorable boy.

"On the other hand, Father I followed your advice and caught five rabbits." Atreus triumphantly exclaimed while holding the dead bunnies by their ears and displaying them. They smelt awful "2 for my father and 2 for me!" Then Atreus hesitated and turned to face Y/n. "1 for you, too! Unless you don't like meat...!- On which case I picked some barry's. Atreus said as he hastily searched his bag for some herbs to give Y/n.

Atreus pulled out a stone bowl and a stone crusher from his back and said, "If you crush these up, they should help the wounds on your feet to heal faster, not only that, but they'll be less sore."

"Thank you so much, Atreus!" Y/n said as she gave the boy a smile while caressing his hair. Y/n replied with joy. As she rested against the log, Y/n had closed her eyes and gazed up at the night sky.

The sound of nearby rustles immediately intimidated everyone, and Atreus may have drawn his bow and arrow just in case something charged out to attack.

In addition to standing up, Kratos picked up his axe.

Coming out was a man about the same size as Kratos, with brown hair that was practically blonde and golden-tan armor. "I don't mean any harm," Herakles quietly stated while extending his palms out in front of him. "I hail from a nearby village."

"Name."Kratos replied with a sneer. Atreus did not even briefly put his bow down, Despite the fact that this man had a pleasant disposition, Kratos had an unusual sense of familiarity toward him and wasn't inclined to put his trust in him.

"My name ? Oh sure..." Herakles exhaled deeply before saying, "My name is Herakles--." Herakles was standing next to a tree when Kratos flung his axe at it; the sheer force of Kratos's throw and the axe's sharpness nearly caused the tree to split in half.

"You lie," Kratos growled out. "You do not look like Herakles, and Herakles is long gone, dead," Kratos said blankly, walking forward with heavy strives.
