"Fighting positions!"
Violet stood next to Miguel practicing her punches as Johnny walked around criticizing everyone. She wasn't exactly in the right headspace to fight due to the fact she and Robby haven't spoken since she tried to help and he walked away. She went to his apartment but he didn't answer the door and he didn't answer her texts.
"Stabilize your base, Hawk. Keep your balance, full rotation when you strike."
"Yes, Sensei! Hai!" He yelled and took his notes.
"You ok?" Miguel asked noticing Violet wasn't
like her usual self."Fine" she dismissed
"You sure?"
"Yup"
Johnny moved to Violet and just nodded knowing she got it down. He moved to a blond boy and leaned in making him jump.
"Did you just flinch, Virgin?" Johnny asked and then went to another kid pretending to get ready to punch making him flinch back
"Holy shit, we got a room full of flinchers."
"Yes, Sensei!" Everyone except Violet yelled
"That was not a question! Raise your hand if you've never been punched in the face." He ordered and everyone except Violet, Miguel, Aisha, and Hawk raised their hand.
"Put your hands down. All your lives, you've been avoiding fights so you don't break your nose or lose a tooth. This concussion nonsense. So there's only one solution, and that is before you leave
this dojo, each and every one of you is going to take a punch, very hard, to the face. Miss Santiago, line them up. Unflinch this group." Johnny said seeing she could use the lesson as a way to get her anger out.
