How Love Feels
There was something about the way her body pressed against mine that told me what this was. I had known it for years and years but this, this was more then the tip of the iceberg.
One hand was on my chest softly, her other with the fingers tangled in my hair. My head was tipped down toward her, lips ghosting the top of her head as I led in a regal dance. Her and I, me and her, that was all that was important.
"I love you, so much" my words came out hushed from my lips. She looked up to me, and image of pure joy and beauty.
"I love you too"
My head rushed with joy. It wasn't as if I hadnt know, and it wasn't that I was shocked. It was just that someone, this beautiful girl had fallen in love with me, and I was praising the gods.
"Can we go somewhere for a bit, just us, away from all these, people," Evangeline looked around shyly, before her eyes met mine again.
"Of course darlin'!"
And with that our fingers twisted together, and she dragged me off and away against the gentle sunset.
This must be what love feels like.
