"So, why exactly do you not like smoothie's?" Jo asked as her and Kamaria lounged around outside, the two unaware of the boys watching them from the bushes.
"It's a texture thing. It's like a really thick milkshake to me." She poorly explained, the two of them taking sips from their drinks. Jo had a smoothie while Kamaria had a milkshake. "Sometimes I can't stand milkshakes because of those pieces of ice cream that'll come through sometimes."
"Oh my god, I hate that." They laughed, Kendall narrowing his eyes at the blonde.
"Why is she laughing? It wasn't even funny."
"Dude, calm down. Mom's not gonna break up our family like that." Carlos said as he pat his shoulder, moving away from him when Kendall glared at him. "I'm just sayin!"
"Oh, they're on the move!" Logan hissed, bringing their attention back to the girls they were spying on. Kendall's brow twitched when he noticed that Jo had her arm around Kamaria's waist, biting his tongue. He tuned out Carlos and Logan talking about what guys girls like, only getting up when they did.
"Ugh, this brings me back to helping my older brother rehearse for his school plays." Kamaria wistfully sighed as she recalled helping Kasey (her mother really loves K names) go over his lines, the two of them sitting on the couch in the lobby. Jo smiled as they read over the script, being startled when Carlos sat on the chair next to them.
"Hi, I'm Jo. Cool jacket." Jo politely said, Carlos smirking and nodding. Kamaria huffed a laugh, shaking her head. "Oh, are you going for the bad boy role in Magic Middle School?"
Jo showed him the script, Carlos's smirking dropping.
"I mean, it's a really strong role. But I hate bad boys in real life. I mean, why so angry all the time?" Jo told him, Kamaria snickering behind her.
"Y-yeah." Carlos stuttered out, suddenly getting nervous again.
"I'm sorry, I didn't get your name." Jo tilted her head a bit, Carlos panicking and automatically looking at Kamaria for help. She raised a brow, motioning for him to say his name.
"Reginlad Salisbury from England." He said in a British accent, Kamaria's mouth dropping as she tried not to laugh. Carlos offered a smile before running off, Jo turning to Kamaria.
"...I assume he's one of your boys?" Kamaria laughed and nodded, Jo joining her. "Should I tell them I have a boyfriend or..?"
"Roll with it." Kamaria gasped, the two of them mumbling a plan to each other. "Oh, this is gonna be good."
They watched as Camille basically foiled Logan's plan, the boy quickly returning to his friends as they laughed.
"I actually wanna see if Kendall joins in." Kamaria said as she sat straighter, Jo wiggling her brows. "Okay, I already heard enough from my mom."
"Oh come on! You two are practically together, he'd probably come over to flirt with you and not me." Jo groaned, Kamaria's face lighting up in a really dark blush. You could tell she was blushing hard when you finally saw it. "See! You guys are probably so cute together."
"Wh-what about you and Ian? Why isn't he here yet?"
"His flight got delayed." Jo sighed, the two of them standing and leaving. Kendall silently watched, forming a plan in his head.
"Oh, hey FT." Kamaria said when the man stopped her, looking over at Jo. "I guess we have to go. See you later?"
"Totally." They hugged and Kamaria led Freight Train to the boys, a smile on her face.
"Duty calls, boys." She said as Freight Train stood behind her, making her seem way more terrifying. Kendall's nose flared a bit as his jaw ticked, adverting his eyes from her as they followed them. "You okay, Ken?"
"Yeah." He answered shortly, Kamaria's brows furrowing as they remained quiet. Kamaria smiled at Katie, going to stand next to the girl as all four boys were ushered into the recording booth.
"He's jealous, you know." Katie said when she noticed her brother's bad mood, Kamaria turning to look at her. "He thinks you like the new girl. Like, he's convincing himself that you like her."
"Well duh, she's my fr- ooooh you mean like her like her." Kamaria said, Katie nodding. Gustavo stopped playing the piano, turning on the boys. It just so happened that James was in some sort of getup that didn't allow him to sing correctly.
"What was that? What was that?!"
"You told me to get him to stop sneezing, and I did." Kamaria groaned and smacked her forehead, scolding herself for forgetting that James hates needles.
"But he can't sing! And we have to sing this love song because the record company wants a love song and I still hate this song!" Gustavo yelled, Kelly getting irritated.
"Well, he refuses to take an allergy shot and I'm not a nurse!" Kelly yelled as she waved her arms around, impressing Gustavo.
"Your yelling's improved. But more like this." He cleared his throat. "GET HIM AN ALLERGY SHOT!"
"It's my fault." James said as he took the helmet off, not looking at Kamaria. If he did, he'd falter and be swayed. "I need to do this. I'll go get the shot."
Kelly motioned for James to follow her out of the room, the boy doing so. Before he left, he turned and flashed his spray at his friends before fully leaving.
"Ridiculous." Kamaria sighed as the boys (Logan and Carlos) tried to make excuses to leave, Freight Train stopping them. The man looked over at Gustavo.
"It's not that bad of a song." He looked at the boys. "In fact, if I was a girl and someone sang it to me, I'd be really touched."
Kendall raised his brows, his eyes falling to Kamaria. She was texting on her phone again, the smile on her face letting him know that she was most definitely messgaing Jo.
"How touched?"
"Like, go out with you touched?" Logan asked him.
"If we sang this song to you, if you were a girl." Carlos clarified, Freight Train nodding.
"Yeah." And that started another fight.
