Previously we saw the fight happen at the Abandoned Church, where Asia was lying dead, courtesy of Raynare taking away her sacred gear, this was resulted in a fight between the fallen angel, and the 'weak' devil, as they fought, eventually the voice inside of his head asks him his desire, which he reveals that he desires power, after that the figure, seemingly leaves, as Issei Sacred Gear was completely changed, which made Raynare fear him, she tried to flee, but was unable to resulting in her defeat, after that Issei was helped by Kiba, as Rias congratulated him on his victory, as Raynare was brought in, she was met with a cold shower waking her up, after an proper introduction, Rias also reveals that she has killed her friends, out of fear, she tried her manipulative charm on Issei, and it worked, not in the way she intended him for, this angered Issei to the point everybody was scared, it was also revealed that she intentionally let Issei die, at the hands of a fallen angel, this backfired badly on everyone, minus Kiba, but this triggered Issei to the point of no return, and his aura made everyone fear him and they were in shock, the aura belonged to Zalgo, a demon respected and feared by many, however made everyone look in just utter shock, unable to do anything, Issei then used his gear to chop off, the finger, that had the Sacred Gear Twilight Healing, which made her scream in pain, he then left seeing that he would rather die, rather than stay with a bunch of back stabbers, he then leaves seeing that there was nothing to do here, he carried Asia's body, and headed to a place, he then buried Asia's dead body, and shed her tear, for his first ever true friend, he then saw the sacred gear as a reminder of his failure, leaving the area, not checking for any green light that left the area.
Issei walked home reminded of his failure, he failed to save Asia, and he was betrayed not just once, but twice, he knew that the source of everything was his perversion, he knew that is something he needed to change, he was easily manipulated but that is never going to happen again.
Issei walked home, unlike many that would love to head back home, Issei was not a big fan of that, not many people cared for the chestnut, except for a few, that being his friends Matsuda and Motohama, despite being perverted they still cared for him, aside from that his two childhood friends, and finally the one that was deceased that being Asia Argento.
Issei walked home to be greeted by his twin sister, she was a young woman with blue eyes and brown hair, she wore a white flowing skirt with golden broidery all over her body, she greeted her brother with a smile.
