Chapter 6: Searching For Answers

~Sometime in the very distant future~

Sadness.

Pain.

Shock.

Worry.

Four emotions currently going through the mind of Barry Allen wearing his flash suit as he walked inside the pipeline of Star Labs as he made his way up and opened the cell as he walked and stood in front of it and inside the cell we see Henry West-Allen standing there with a look of confidence on his face

Barry looked sad, confused.....hurt. He didn't understand how this could have happened to his own son. How he could have so much hate that he would practically burn Central City to the ground. He wanted to understand, he had to understand but how could he? The son he raised was uh.......monster

Barry: Why?

Is all Barry asks as Henry begins to chuckle as he looks around the cell

Henry: Nice cell, very nice.

He looks at Barry and all he could feel was hatred towards the fastest man alive

Barry: Answer my question, Henry.

Henry: What was it?......Why?

He asks with a chuckle

Barry: Yeah.

Barry says as he crosses his arms and Henry puts his hand on the side of the cell as he points at his father

Henry: I hate you. I hate you, dad.

Barry lowers his head feeling those words in his mind, he just couldn't believe his own son could hate him

Henry: You know.....You are the flash. A symbol of hope. You fight for the people of this pathetic city, you fight for your family. Yours.

Henry takes his hand off the glass

Henry: It was never mine, was it? Huh? All my life I've been condemned for who my mother was. Who my grandfather was.

Barry looks up at Henry and his eyes widen as Henry chuckles and puts his hand back on the glass

Henry: Oh yeah. I know who she is. I know all about Annabelle and Thawne. I know everything....dad.

Barry never wanted Henry to discover the truth, he never wanted him to know who his mother nor who his grandfather was, he wanted to keep him away from that, but he failed because Henry knows

Barry: How did you find out?

Henry: That's what you wanna know? HOW!?

Henry takes a deep breath as he turns around and calms himself down as he turns back to Barry

Henry: You don't get to know anything, Flash. All you need to know is that I'm taking this city from you. I'm gonna take everything you hold dear.

Henry places his hands on the glass and he looks down at the ground before looking back up at Barry

Henry: And there's nothing you can do to stop me.

Henry starts laughing as Barry just stares eye widened as he slowly starts to back up, looking into his eyes he saw nothing, he didn't see the Henry he knew before he became Speed Demon, there was absolutely nothing

He turns around and walks out of the pipeline as Iris was there waiting for him

Iris: Babe, you okay?

Barry shakes his head and couldn't muster up any words to say as he just walks away from Iris

Iris slowly walks into the pipeline as she saw Henry standing there...she always knew there was something wrong with him, that he'd turn into the same guy Thawne was, she saw the writing on the wall
