𝘾𝙃𝙄𝙇𝘿𝙍𝙀𝙉 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙁𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙃 [𝔹𝕆𝕆𝕂 𝟚]

Chapter 21: The Gideon Effect

At Star Labs in the cortex..Barry stands in front of his suit as he kept his arms crossed and just stares at his flash suit

His mind kept going back to Henry, every moment of every day, every hour, every minute, all he could think about was Henry; all he wanted to know was how his own son could be a villain..he wanted to know what made the way he was

He was his son after all and all Barry did was protect people, he was a hero after all right? He just couldn't figure it out, Henry was his son but he also wasn't Iris' son, he was the son of another woman

But that couldn't happen though, could it? Iris was his lightning rod, she was the girl he fell in love with before he even knew what love was, I mean they married each other. The two of them have been through so much since he became the flash

And to see Henry and knowing that he was the son of another woman, it just..it couldn't be true. He just kept thinking about how he would never hurt Iris

Barry is soon snapped out of his thoughts as he feels a hand on his shoulder

He looks over and sees Iris as he clears his throat

Barry: Hey.

Iris: Hey, you okay?

He wasn't okay..but he didn't wanna admit to her

Barry: Yeah, I'm okay. You?

Iris couldn't even muster the right words to say..she was hurt, she was confused...but most of all she was conflicted. Henry wasn't her son and for a minute she felt no attachment to him whatsoever but talking to him in the pipeline, seeing how angry he was, she just couldn't stop feeling like she needed to help

And it wasn't the help she would give just anyone..no...no...it was the help of a mother. The way a mother would help her son, even if she wasn't his actual mother

But there was still the case of Barry, she was his wife and yet somewhere down the line something must happen to them..and she was worried about that

It all just worried her..to the point where she fears for their future

Meanwhile as Barry and Iris were in the cortex, the elevator in Star Labs opens up as two streaks come running out as the wall to the time vault opens up

Inside the time vault we see Henry and Emily arrive as the lights turn on and the wall closes as Henry's mask dematerializes

Emily looks at the white room in awe; she'd never seen such a white but amazing room before

She turns and looks at Henry as she asks him

Emily: So what are we doing here?

He doesn't even bother to answer as he walks forward to the panel in the middle of the room as he puts his hand down onto it as Gideon appears in front of him

Emily's eyes widen as she sees the white holographic head that had appeared in the middle of the room

Emily: Whoa! Who is that?

She asks as she walks over and stands next to Henry

Gideon: I am Gideon, I am-

But Henry cuts Gideon off before she could finish

Henry: Yeah, yeah. I don't have time for this.

He takes a flash drive out of his gauntlet as he looks at Gideon with a determined look on his face

Henry: Sorry, Gideon.

And with that Henry stuck the flash drive in the panel as Gideon turned red and started to malfunction as Henry takes a step back
