Chapter 39: A Night Without Henry

Caitlin could feel the breaths from Henry's mouth just inches away as she kept her hands on his cheeks, she didn't quite understand what it was about him but it's like she was drawn to him in more ways than one

Alas it was the same for Henry as he slowly leans in closer to her but Caitlin almost didn't know what to do until she had finally realized what was about to happen; but she couldn't allow it, not knowing who Henry was to Barry

Caitlin turns just before Henry reaches her as she lets out a sigh given how hard it was for her to turn away from him as she moves her hands away from Henry; any other girl he'd of been angry, heck he'd probably kill her but not this one..he couldn't kill her no matter how much his brain told him too

Caitlin: I—I can't.

He understood why she couldn't as he picks her up bridal style as Caitlin wrapped her arms around him and held on and in the blink of an eye, the doctor found herself right where she was taken but as she looked around she saw that Henry was nowhere to be found

She sighs once more and ran her hands through her hair; Henry certainly pushed her buttons, but was that a good thing or a bad thing?

Meanwhile with Henry, he stood two corners away from Caitlin as he just stares at her, he had to admit it was nice to talk to her again; it was nice knowing that she at least cared which he obviously wouldn't admit to her

His hand suddenly started to vibrate as he looks down at it and used his other hand to stop it from vibrating as Henry immediately realizes what's going on

Henry: Oh no. Not now.

It was in fact the timeline beginning to cement itself..while Wells had done what he could to slow down the process, even Henry knew that sooner or later you couldn't outrun time

But that didn't mean he was gonna go down without a fight; someone was manipulating him and he was gonna find out who one way or another

Far away in National City, a group of criminals began to shoot at Supergirl as she ran and knocked two of them down before the bigger guy ran up and tried to punch her but the girl of steel caught his fist as she twisted it before flipping him over onto his back and then knocked him unconscious

But while she'd dealt with him, Kara had failed to notice the other criminals pull out a rocket launcher from their van as one of them took it and pointed it at her

But before he could even pull the trigger, a gust of wind past by Kara as she turns around to see the criminals were incapacitated by the flash

A smile grew on her face as Barry tore the rocket launcher apart and dropped the pieces as she immediately ran over and hugged him

Kara: Barry, it's so good to see you.

But Kara didn't get the same great in return as she pulls away and sees the distraught look on his face and could tell that something was clearly wrong

Kara: Barry, what is it?

Barry: Can we talk? Please...

Kara wasn't one to turn him down for a talk as she nodded and flew away as Barry knew exactly where she was going; if there was one thing for certain, Kara Danvers was certainly someone who could tell him what to do
